Jordan Balazovic Unhittable At Double-A
3 years agoMinnesota Twins prospect Jordan Balazovic threw 5 2/3 innings of no-hit ball on Wednesday at the Double-A level. He walked two and struck out six. The 22-year-old right-hander got a late start to the 2021 season due to injury and is just starting to find his consistent command. Through six starts this season, he has a 4.44 ERA in 24 1/3 innings of work. He's given up an uncharacteristically high 26 hits but his K-BB of 33-8 is impressive. Balazovic has the ceiling of a No. 2/3 starter but he's struggled to stay healthy in his career. In 2019, he pitched a career-high 93 2/3 innings with a 2.69 ERA and K-BB of 129-25. He should be ready for The Show in 2022.
