1 year agoThe New England Patriots placed wide receiver Jalen Hurd on the Reserve/Retired list on Tuesday. Hurd didn't make it too far into training camp this summer before deciding that he didn't want to play professional football anymore. The 27-year-old's career was defined by injuries after the San Francisco 49ers drafted him in the third round in 2019 out of Baylor. Believe it or not, he never made it onto the field for a single game in the NFL. Hurd got off to a bad start in his rookie campaign when he suffered a back injury that kept him out all year before tearing his ACL before the 2022 season. It's a shame that Hurd was never able to showcase his quickness on an NFL field.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
