Jacob Berry Homers In Consecutive Games
6 months agoMiami Marlins corner infield prospect Jacob Berry homered in his second consecutive game for Double-A Pensacola on Sunday. Berry went 1-for-3 and drew a walk. Per MLB Pipeline, Berry is the club's No. 6 prospect and is now hitting .199 with four homers, 20 RBI and six stolen bases. The 23-year-old has not shown much power in three years of professional ball, but projected as an all-around offensive threat when drafted sixth overall in the first-round of the 2022 draft. The switch-hitting corner infielder will need to show more signs of life if he wants to make it to the show, but his recent showings have been positive as he is hitting .278 over his last 10 games. For now, Berry remains a name for watchlists in dynasty leagues.
