1 year agoToronto Blue Jays left-hander Hyun Jin Ryu (elbow) will make his 2023 season debut on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles. It makes sense to temper expectations for Ryu, who is returning from Tommy John surgery, but he's still worth snagging off the waiver wire if he's available in your league. The 36-year-old veteran southpaw allowed only for earned runs on 13 hits while walking one and striking out 16 in 18 innings during his four minor-league rehab starts, and he might be facing much of an innings restriction now that he is back in Toronto's starting rotation the rest of the way. However, it would probably be wise to keep him benched for his first start back on Tuesday against the first-place Orioles.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
