Hanser Alberto Agrees To Minor-League Deal With White Sox
2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox agreed with free-agent infielder Hanser Alberto on a minor-league deal on Wednesday, according to sources. Alberto is likely to receive an invitation to major-league spring training after playing in 73 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2022. In those 73 contests, the 30-year-old hit .244/.258/.365 with a .623 OPS, two home runs, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored in 159 plate appearances. If Alberto makes the White Sox's Opening Day roster out of spring training, he'll likely be filling a utility infield role and is unlikely to see regular playing time. In his seven-year major-league career, Alberto has slashed .272/.294/.380 with a .674 OPS, 19 home runs, 121 RBI, 149 runs and 12 stolen bases in 458 games with the Dodgers, Royals, Orioles and Rangers.
