Duop Reath, Blazers Agree On Three-Year Deal
10 months agoPortland Trail Blazers center Duop Reath is getting converted to a standard NBA contract from his two-way deal on Friday. The 27-year-old rookie agreed to a three-year deal with the team after posting averages of 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 made threes, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 47.5% from the floor and 38.5% from beyond the arc. Reath went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft after he finished up his last two years of college eligibility at LSU. The young big man from Sudan posted solid performances in the summer league and received his first contract from the Blazers right before the season started. Now that he has proven to be a serviceable backup big, he cashed in on a new contract.
