Druw Jones Remains On Track
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Druw Jones (shoulder), the second overall pick in last year's draft, played in Tuesday's spring finale and said he remains on track to be in the lineup when the minor-league season begins on April 6. He hasn't had any setbacks in his recovery from surgery to fix his left labrum last August. Jones had one hit in two at-bats on Tuesday and is expected to begin the 2023 season at Low-A Visalia. The 19-year-old son of former Braves outfielder Andruw Jones has the skills to be an excellent outfield defender like his dad, and he also projects to have above-average power. His shoulder injury was a bit of a setback, but it's great news that it won't cost him any time during the 2023 season. Expect Jones to be a quick riser through Arizona's farm system.
