Denzel Mims Not Standing Out
1 year agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell didn't exactly sound impressed when discussing wide receiver Denzel Mims. "He's in the room. Wish I could give you more," Campbell said after talking about potentially needing to add a wide receiver during training camp now that both Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams are injured. Detroit acquired Mims from the New York Jets this offseason, and the former second-round pick in 2020 continues to struggle after posting just 42 catches for 676 yards and no touchdowns in his three years with the Jets. Even with Williams serving a six-game suspension to begin the regular season, Mims probably isn't going to have much of a role in the Lions offense, if he even makes the final roster.
