Delino DeShields To Become A Free Agent
Outfielder Delino DeShields was sent on a minor league assignment by the Cincinnati Reds. However, he refused the assignment and elected to become a free agent instead. The 29-year-old split the 2021 season between three organizations. He began the year with the Texas Rangers, then spent time with the Boston Red Sox before joining the Reds. He appeared in 25 games for the Reds and slashed .255/.375/.426 with one home run, two stolen bases, six RBI and four runs.
