5 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Darwin Thompson has been worked into the offense more often since the beginning of December. The Chiefs are banged up in the backfield and need Thompson to step up and help the team. Both Darrel Williams (hamstring) and Spencer Ware (shoulder) are on the IR for the rest of the season. Damien Williams and LeSean McCoy are the only other healthy backs on the roster. The Chiefs are attempting to limit McCoy's workload, so it's unclear if he'll even play in Week 17. Williams and Thompson could be the only active backs on the roster for their matchup with the Chargers. However, Thompson remains a low-end option for deep leagues and should be avoided in DFS contests.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
