6 months agoOakland Athletics starter Daniel Mengden allowed one run on four hits across seven innings of work during a 9-2 win over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. He struck out three batters without issuing a walk. It was an impressive appearance for the 26-year-old, who now owns a 5-1 record on the season to go along with a 4.21 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 34/16 K/BB rate. Despite the respectable outing, Mengden is tough to trust in his next projected start against the high-powered Minnesota Twins.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
