Dan Arnold Officially Put On Injured Reserve
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer confirmed on Tuesday that the team placed tight end Dan Arnold (knee) on Injured Reserve with a sprained MCL. Arnold suffered the injury in the Week 12 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and will be out for four to six weeks. There's a good chance we may not see the 26-year-old back in 2021. He made his debut with Jacksonville in Week 4 after being acquired in a trade from the Carolina Panthers, and Arnold has caught 28 of his 41 targets for 324 yards and no touchdowns as the Jags primary pass-catching tight end. If you don't have the room to stash him in an IR spot in smaller leagues, Arnold can be sent to the waiver wire. James O'Shaughnessy and Chris Manhertz will see more playing time with Arnold sidelined. O'Shaughnessy should be the better TE2 target in deeper leagues.
