3 months agoHouston Texans running back Damarea Crockett is likely still in competition to back up Duke Johnson and take some early down work, but Thursday's preseason finale didn't offer the Texans the best look at him. Crockett gained just 14 yards on his seven carries and added a four-yard reception as well. He was outplayed by fellow undrafted rookie Karan Higdon. The Athletic's Aaron Reiss is projecting Crockett to make the initial roster, but says Crockett's lack of special teams experience could lead to him being a late cut if Houston signs a veteran running back. There's a lot of question marks here.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
