Dakota Hudson Making Fourth Start Tuesday
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Dakota Hudson will get the ball for his fourth start of the season Tuesday night against the visiting Oakland A's. It's the 28-year-old's 10th appearance overall this season as he has spent much of the campaign at Triple-A. It's been tough sledding for the right-hander who posted a 6.00 ERA across 11 minor-league starts but he's also worked to a reasonable 4.31 ERA in the big leagues across 31 1/3 innings this season. Hudson's career started quite promising as he posted a 2.63 ERA across 26 relief outings as a 23-year-old rookie in 2018 before turning in a 3.35 ERA across 174 2/3 innings as a full-time starter the following season. He has a nice opportunity to lower his ERA Tuesday against an A's offense that sits in a three-way tie for last place with a .292 wOBA versus right-handed pitching this season.
