Colin Holderman Notches Rare Save
Colin Holderman picked up his second save of the season Thursday, securing a 2-1 win over the Atlanta Braves. Holderman allowed a run on two hits, but he did strike out the side. While Holderman has been decent this year, pitching to a 3.38 ERA and 1.33 WHIP, he is clearly behind David Bednar for saves in the Pittsburgh bullpen. Bednar had pitched the last two days and four of the last five, so he was getting some well-deserved rest in this one. Don't expect many more saves from Holderman for the rest of the season.
