Columbus Blue Jackets center Cole Sillinger might have to start the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL, writes Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch. The 20-year-old still remains waivers exempt and Sillinger could use some time away from the big league to regain his confidence. Following a 31-point debut campaign, the Columbus-born forward had a bad sophomore slump in 2022-23, posting only 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 64 games. He ended up finishing the season with the Cleveland Monsters in the minors, notching six points (two goals, four assists) in 11 outings. Hedger also mentions Nick Blankenburg, Tim Berni, Liam Foudy, and Emil Bemstrom as players who might not make the Blue Jackets roster for the start of the season despite seeing regular NHL action in 2022-23.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
