Christian Yelich Back In Brewers Lineup
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich (back) has returned to the starting lineup on Friday against the Miami Marlins and right-hander JT Chargois. He is hitting leadoff and starting in left field. Yelich has barely played in the last two weeks due to a lingering back injury, but he's going to give it a go to start the weekend and hopefully he won't suffer any setbacks in the final stretch of the regular season before the playoffs. The 31-year-old left-handed hitter has had a nice bounce-back season in 2023, but he's also gone just 7-for-49 (.143) with a home run, one double, three RBI, 22 strikeouts and 10 runs scored in 14 games (13 starts) since Aug. 25. Fantasy managers that are plugging him back into their starting lineups will hope that his back injury is behind him and he can pick things up offensively.
