Chris Herndon Has Yet To Make A Mark With Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings acquired tight end Chris Herndon in a trade with the New York Jets right before the start of the season. The move came after it was announced that Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. (meniscus) would miss extended time due to a torn meniscus. There was speculation that Herndon could fill in as the team's primary pass-catching tight end, but that has yet to be the case. Tyler Conklin has been the only Vikings tight end to show up in the pass game so far. He's caught 13 of his 16 targets for 126 yards and a score. Herndon, meanwhile, has just two targets and no catches through three games. He only played 16% of the snaps in Week 3 while Conklin logged 72%. There's no need to roster Herndon in any fantasy leagues at this point.
