Chadwick Tromp Returns To Braves
1 year agoThe Atlanta Braves re-signed catcher Chadwick Tromp to a minor-league deal on Wednesday. Tromp will return to the organization for the 2024 season after he was non-tendered by the club last week. He has played in just seven games for Atlanta at the major-league level the last two seasons and has gone 5-for-20 with three doubles, four RBI and a run scored. The 28-year-old backstop will be back to provide depth at the catcher position behind Sean Murphy and Travis d'Arnaud. In 65 games at Triple-A Gwinnett in 2023, Tromp slashed .210/.336/.384 with 10 home runs and 33 RBI. He's a career .246 hitter with 51 homers in 521 minor-league games over 10 seasons.
