Caleb Boushley Outrighted Off 40-Man Roster
1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers opened up a spot on their 40-man roster on Tuesday by outrighting right-hander Caleb Boushley to Triple-A Nashville after he cleared waivers. The 29-year-old made his major-league debut in 2023 with the Brew Crew but pitched just 2 1/3 innings of relief on Sept. 29 against the Chicago Cubs, allowing an earned run on a solo home run while walking two and striking out five in a blown save and a win. Boushley wasn't very effective in 29 appearances (26 starts) for Nashville in 2023, posting a 5.11 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 51 walks in 135 2/3 innings pitched, but he did manage to strike out a career-high 110 batters.
