Brian Anderson Gets Infield Work On Friday
9 months agoMilwaukee Brewers third baseman Brian Anderson (back) took grounders ahead of Friday's game versus the Atlanta Braves. The 30-year-old was forced to the injured list on July 16 after suffering a lower-back strain while handling grounders two days earlier. Anderson isn't slated to start swinging again until early next week. The big-armed Anderson signified a valuable early-season fantasy addition while riding a white-hot start, but he came down to earth in a big way thereafter. He was hitting just .211 with a .570 OPS in his most recent 114 at-bats prior to this setback. Even with Anderson potentially back as early as next weekend, fantasy managers might be able find a stronger IL stash on waiver wires outside of NL-only leagues.
