Brian Anderson Back From Injured List
1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers activated third baseman Brian Anderson (back) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday. In corresponding moves, right-hander Trevor Megill and infielder Abraham Toro were optioned to Triple-A Nashville. Anderson will return to Milwaukee after almost three weeks on the shelf with a back strain, but he won't be in the starting lineup on Thursday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates. The 30-year-old had cooled off in June before getting hurt, and he's returning to a .229/.317/.373 slash line with nine home runs, 38 RBI and 35 runs scored for the Brew Crew in 292 at-bats. Anderson is only a corner-infield option in deep-mixed and NL-only leagues in a part-time role at the hot corner for the Brewers.
