Brett Kennedy Likely To Start On Tuesday
1 year agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Brett Kennedy has been added to the team's taxi squad on Monday from Triple-A Louisville, and he's likely to make the start on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals. Kennedy, who made his first six major-league starts for the San Diego Padres back in 2018, signed a minor-league deal with the Reds after starting 2023 in Independent ball. The 28-year-old hurler posted a 3.71 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 12 walks and 37 strikeouts in 43 2/3 innings over eight starts at Louisville before getting the call-up to Cincinnati this week. It will be a solid matchup for Kennedy against the last-place Nats, but he'll still only be a streaming option for the absolute desperate fantasy managers on Tuesday's slate.
