Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brent Burns marked his 1,300th regular-season outing with an assist against Boston on Sunday and it took his point streak to five games. He combined with Martin Necas on the power play to set up Paul Stastny for the game-winning goal in a 4-1 victory. Burns will now look to post his longest point streak as a Carolina man against long-time rivals, the Kings on Tuesday. It's been a good debut campaign in Raleigh for the veteran defenseman, with him on eight goals and 34 points through 49 games. 15 of his points have come on the power play, and Burns has recorded 154 shots on goal with 28 hits and 58 blocks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
