Aldrick Rosas Added To Active Roster
3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints signed kicker Aldrick Rosas from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster ahead of Week 2 against the Carolina Panthers. Rosas filled in admirably for Wil Lutz, who is recovering from core muscle surgery, in the Week 1 blowout win over the Green Bay Packers. Rosas made a 44-yard field goal and all five of his extra points to open the season, so it's no surprise that the Saints are sticking with him. The 26-year-old has made 81.6 percent of his 87 career field-goal attempts and was a Pro Bowler with the New York Giants in 2018. He's 10-for-14 on attempts from 50-plus yards in his career, but just 12-for-21 from 40-49 yards. Rosas' arrow is pointing up after his solid Week 1 performance, but there are still plenty of safer kicking options for your starting lineups this early in the season.
