Adeiny Hechavarria Could See Extended Playing Time
6 years agoNew York Mets infielder Adeiny Hechavarria is back in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Robinson Cano (quad) and Jeff McNeil (hamstring) are both on the 10-day injured list, so the Mets are lacking depth at second base. Hechavarria is going to start just about every game until the Mets get some players back. He's not hitting much right now, but could be on the radar in some NL-only leagues. Hechavarria will bat eighth and play second base versus lefty Gregory Soto on Friday.
