Adam Thielen Gets In Some Work Thursday
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen (foot) ran some routes at the start of practice on Thursday before walking off for injury rehab. It doesn't sound like Thielen did much, but at least he was on the practice field for a little bit. Justin Jefferson (ankle) was limited and said he expects to play in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers, and Thielen's fantasy managers will be more comfortable with him in their starting lineups if he's able to get more work in on Friday. Jefferson is the clear No. 1 target in Minnesota's passing attack, but Thielen is one of the top red-zone options for quarterback Kirk Cousins, finding paydirt four times in five games. The 31-year-old precision route-runner has caught 26 of his 37 targets for 267 yards. Thielen will be on the WR2/3 borderline if he plays this weekend against an improved Panthers defense.
