What is Novig?
Novig is one of the fastest-growing peer-to-peer sports prediction markets. On Novig, users trade directly with each other, without the "vig" typically associated with a sportsbook. The vig is the fee sportsbooks charge you to use their services. It's a hidden cost that can be found in the odds that are being offered on each side of a specific bet. When a book offers -110 odds on both sides of a bet, they're keeping close to 10% of every bettor's wager, regardless of whether you win or lose.
On Novig, users trade with each other on the outcomes of sporting events, similarly to the way that investors trade on the stock market. But instead of having to beat the books, you just have to win against other users -- there's no commission kept by the site.
Users can bet on most traditional sports markets, including moneyline bets, spreads, totals, tournament matchups, player props, parlays, and futures!
Novig operates with two virtual currencies. Novig coins can be wagered for fun and to test out strategies, while Novig cash can be wagered on all markets and then redeemed for real cash prizes.
Access to Novig is widespread; it's now accessible in 36 U.S. states.
How Does Novig Work?
Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager that you win, and users can usually find better values on bets (in terms of the prices being offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.
There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds that the market is offering or set your own odds.
If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated.
Users drive the market, not the sportsbook or oddsmakers!
PGA Tournament Matchup Picks
All odds are from Novig and were accurate/available as of 2/24/2026.
Shane Lowry OVER Ryan Gerard (-115 at Novig)
It tells us a lot about the state of the Cognizant Classic field that this is the premier matchup on the betting board this week. Shane Lowry's track record at PGA National is pretty unassailable, as he's reeled off four consecutive finishes of T11 or better in the Cognizant.
So...while pulling the trigger against a player who has shown the form of Ryan Gerard is a little scary, I can't ignore the consistency that the Irishman has displayed both on this golf course, and in recent outings. Lowry has gained true strokes on approach in all of his four world-wide starts this year - and in 12 straight outings dating back to last August.
While I like the fit for Gerard at PGA National, Lowry has been knocking on the door of a win at this event over the past four years, and is likely only teeing it up this week because he believes he has a strong chance to win this tournament.
Nicolai Hojgaard OVER Rasmus Hojgaard (-115 at Novig)
In a tournament that's perhaps not the sexiest, let's have a little fun with a brother vs. brother bet! While the Hojgaard twins might be identical, Nicolai has had the edge in results as of late by showing slightly better form to kick off 2026.
In three starts this year, he's logged two finishes of T4 or better. Nicolai heads to a PGA National layout on which he recorded a T18 last year, ranked third on the PGA Tour in SG: Total in 2026, while leading the Tour in SG: OTT this year.
Conversely, Rasmus missed the cut in his lone Cognizant start in 2024. He's also been unsteady around the greens this season, losing true strokes around the green in two of his last three starts. Rasmus enters this event ranked 128th on the Tour in SG: ATG in 2026. In an event where avoiding big numbers is important, I'll give the edge to the more dependable Nicolai in this spot.

PGA Finishing Position Props

Sam Ryder TOP 10 FINISH (+999 at Novig)
This is undoubtedly a week to let our golf betting freak flags fly, as the combination of a volatile layout in PGA National, coupled with a volatility-inducing weaker field produces an environment where longshots, theoretically, have the potential to thrive.
One of my Cognizant darts will be Sam Ryder, a player who is starting 2026 with just conditional PGA Tour card status. Despite his murky playing possibilities this year, Ryder does pop out for me this week due to his strong history at PGA National and his decent form when getting the opportunity to tee it up.
He's never missed a cut in five career Cognizant starts with a pair of top-10 finishes among those outings, and he's gone T27-T59 in his two starts on the PGA Tour in 2026, gaining true strokes on approach in both of those appearances.
Max McGreevy WINNER (+4067 at Novig)
We'll stick to the longshot theme for our final selection, as McGreevy's Novig price of +4067 offers some nice value in comparison to FanDuel's current number of +3300. The 30-year-old scored a T4 in this event just a year ago, and comes into this edition striking the ball well following a red-hot fall season that included a pair of top-three finishes.
One of the game's most accurate players from T2G, McGreevy stands 19th on Tour in driving accuracy percentage and 16th in GIR percentage this season. He's lost strokes putting in three consecutive starts, which is why he enters a bit under the radar, but the switch to Bermuda greens could help him to heat up the flatstick.
