NHL DFS Lineups: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks (3/3/25)

Tage Thompson - NHL DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Hockey

Jon Irvin's NHL DFS picks for today's contests on FanDuel and DraftKings. Use Jon's picks to win money playing NHL DFS on 2/5/25.

Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally. My name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels, and you know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in MLB and NHL. I enjoy deep dumpster diving, so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays.

I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system, but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform.

Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends. We're so glad you could attend. Come inside! Today's DFS content will be for the main slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel for Monday, March 3, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. EST. Wow, what a Four Nations Face Off, I was skeptical at first but the quality of play far exceeded my expectations. Now back to tonight's fairly large slate for a Monday with 5 games including a showdown in New York with the Rangers, off the heels of last night's remarkable showing from Jonathan Quick, hosting the Islanders.

DraftKings and FanDuel NHL DFS Picks: First Look Stats

After reading this, jump into the RotoBaller Discord NHL channel and chat about today's slate with all the other great minds. Don’t forget to check out our valuable NHL tools, including the NHL DFS Heat Map. I've begun to implement my personal trend chart. This looks at the average between the L25 and L10, weighing the L10 heavier to help find certain positive or negative trends.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Value in net is key on DK with a three-point bonus at the 35-save mark. We can afford to give up an extra goal or two if our goalie can see a steady shot volume against him. Those extra few hundred can get us those top-line forwards.

Andrei Vasilevskiy - DK $7.4K || FD $7.6K

Opponent - Florida Panthers

This is a tough sell, facing a Panthers offense that can be a force even without Matt Tkachuk, but as Bob Barker's motto goes, the price is right! Vasil has come in hot over the last 10 games with a 9-0-1 record, sporting a .947 SV% and 1.61 GAA. His recent form and price makes the value even better.

Others to consider: Ilya Sorokin (DK $7.2K || FD $7.4K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Jiri Kulich - DK $4.8K || FD $5.2K

Opponent - Montreal Canadians

The new dynamic pricing on DK has made value plays harder to find, tonight is no different, luckily the center spot for one of my favorite lines of the night is rather inexpensive. Jiri is still up on BUF1 with Tage Thompson and has been playing fairly well. Unfortunately not correlated on the top power play unit limits his ceiling a bit. Kulich lit the lamp versus the Canadians the other night, odds are he can do it again.

Others to consider: Max Domi (DK $4.3K || FD $4.1K )

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

 Simon Holmstrom - DK $4.5K || FD $5.2K

Opponent - New York Rangers

Holmstrom has taken full advantage of the opportunity presented to him with the loss of Matt Barzal with minutes now over twenty. Playing left wing on L2, Simon and the rest of his linemates are fully correlated on the second power-play unit. The Islanders are facing the Rangers tonight who should have given up a few goals last night had it not been for their goaltending. Fresh legs versus a team on a back-to-back is never a bad spot.

Others to consider: Anders Lee (DK $5.1K || FD $6.3K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

When selecting defensemen, especially on DK, I tend to find players with a high chance at both blocks and shots and not concentrate so much on point dependency.

 Wyatt Kaiser - DK $2.8K || FD $3.9K

Opponent -Los Angeles Kings

With the Blackhawks trading away Seth Jones, Chicago has called up their future blue liner in Kaiser. In his first game back in the bigs, Wyatt ended with a goal, 2 shots, and 2 blocks. I'll buy the ticket for his encore performance.

Others to consider: Philippe Myers  (DK $3.0K || FD $3.7K)

My top 25 defensemen chart focuses more on shot and block peripherals to find a safer floor over the last month.
