Today's NHL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (5/13/23): Showdown Slate - Daily Fantasy Hockey

Andrew Lennox delivers his top DraftKings, FanDuel NHL DFS value plays and research for May 13th, 2023 including DFS analysis for goalies, power plays, stacks.

Greetings, RotoBallers! Saturday evening promises to be an exciting night with one playoff game on the schedule. I aim to provide valuable insight and assist you in identifying potential top players for your DFS Showdown lineups. Each game carries significant weight as the playoffs continue, making it imperative to collaborate and examine this slate on DraftKings and FanDuel to optimize our likelihood of winning.

Today I'll be bringing you my NHL lineup picks, analysis, and advice for NHL DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel for Saturday, May 13th, 2023, at 7:00 PM. Be sure to also check out our awesome NHL tools, including our Lineup Optimizer, Research Station, Projections, and DFS Cheat Sheets! If you have any questions about the upcoming slate, please get in touch with me on Twitter.

When participating in a single-game DraftKings DFS, you are allotted a salary cap of $50,000. Your task is to carefully choose six players for your lineup. It's important to note that the player you select as your Captain will earn you 1.5 times the points. FanDuel is similar, but you are given $55,000 in salary for your five-player lineup.

Captain - NHL DFS Lineup Picks

Jake Oettinger ($16,200 DK) - While Oettinger's performance in the playoffs has been inconsistent, he's been able to bounce back after tough starts. Going into Game 6, Oettinger has won three of his last four outings against an offensively gifted Kraken team who ranked first in the NHL in averaging 3.09 Goals For Per 60 in the regular season.

Roope Hintz ($15,300 DK/ 15,000 FD) - Hintz has been on fire and shown that he is a consistent offensive threat for the Stars, netting three goals and adding two assists in two consecutive contests. In the playoffs, he's registered at least a point in eight of 11 games. Heading into Game 6 against Seattle, Hintz has logged six points in five games in the series.

Joe Pavelski ($14,100 DK/ 14,000 FD) - Pavelski emerged as a top option among his linemates due to his lower salary and consistent point production, having registered at least a point in five out of six playoff games. While all three players on the Star's first line are exceptional and have contributed significantly in this series, Pavelski's returned from concussion protocol, and he has continued to produce offensively. Notably, he delivered an impressive four-goal performance in Game 1.

Value Plays - NHL DFS Lineup Picks

Jordan Eberle ($7,200 DK/ $9,500 FD) - Eberle is a key member of Seattle's top line and has three goals and two assists against Dallas. Oettinger hasn't been great in road playoff games which could benefit Eberle and his linemates for Game 6 in Seattle.

Max Domi ($7,600 DK/ $9,500 FD) - After a somewhat rocky start upon joining the Stars, Domi struggled to find his stride in the early stages of the playoffs. However, he has turned the tables, recording 10 points in his last seven games. Grubauer, Seattle's goalie, has conceded four or more goals in four out of the five games played in this series which could work out to be an advantage for Domi and company in Game 6.

Jaden Schwartz ($7,000 DK/ $11,500 FD) - Schwartz has been relentless in keeping opposing goalies on their toes during the playoffs. With an impressive 38 shots on net across 12 games, he leads the Kraken in this category. This tenacity has resulted in him netting five goals in the playoffs. He has three goals, one assist, and eight shots in the second round.

NHL DFS Lineup Stacks

  • DAL 1- Robertson/ Hintz/Pavelski
  • SEA 1- Kartye/ Beniers/ Eberle
  • DAL 2- Robertson/Benn/Pavelski
  • SEA 2- Gourde/Eberle/Schultz
