Mikael Backlund - DK $3.9K || FD $5.0K
Opponent - Nashville Predators
When looking for a value pick in any slate where the Flames are playing, Backlund is high on my list of options. His line typically matches up against the opposing team's top line on home ice. Despite facing tougher matchups, he ranks second on the Flames in Expected Goals For per 60 minutes (XGF/60), second in Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes (SCF/60), and perhaps most importantly, he averages 13.38 High-Danger Chances For per 60 minutes (HDCF/60). These are elite numbers for a player who will only cost us $3,900 today.

Dmitri Voronkov - (DK $2.8K || FD $3.9K)
Opponent - Pittsburgh Penguins
Voronkov was injured at the start of the season and is still working to regain his form. So far, he has scored only one goal on eight shots this season. However, the coaching staff's decision to place him on the top line indicates their confidence in his abilities. Tonight, against a struggling Penguins team, presents a great opportunity for him to break out. He doesn't need much to reach value, and his position on the top line and the second power-play unit gives him a solid chance to score his second goal of the season.

Michael Kesselring - (DK $3.0K || FD $4.0K)
Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights
When we discuss players who are mispriced, Kesselring is a prime example. He plays on Utah's top defensive pair alongside Sergachev and runs their second power-play unit. Recently, he has scored three goals and provided five assists, totalling nine shots in his last three games. He should be priced closer to $5,000 on this slate. Vegas is a team we can exploit, especially when playing on the road, making Kesselring one of my top-value defensemen for tonight's slate.
