Strome has made an impressive start to his season, finally living up to his status as the third-overall pick in the draft. In his first eleven games, he has recorded four goals and thirteen assists, totaling seventeen points. His line, alongside Ovechkin and Protas, has been one of the best on home ice this year. Currently, they are averaging 4.63 expected goals for per 60 minutes (XGF/60), 36.53 scoring chances for per 60 minutes (SCF/60), and 17.71 high-danger scoring chances for per 60 minutes (HDCF/60). These numbers are considered elite and place them among the top lines in the NHL.

You might be wondering why I'm highlighting Bertuzzi and his total of four goals this season. To clarify, in the four home games the Hawks have played so far, he has managed to score only two goals. However, it’s important to note that he has taken an impressive 12 shots during those games, indicating that he is actively involved in the offence and getting opportunities to score. Currently, Bertuzzi is playing on a promising second line alongside Foligno and Hall, which likely enhances his chances of finding the net. Furthermore, the Chicago Hawks will be facing the Detroit Red Wings tonight, a team that has struggled defensively this season, particularly on the road, where they have ranked among the worst in the NHL in terms of shots allowed.

Given this context, I believe the Oilers could be a sneaky team to target on this three-game slate.
