NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/22/23

There were no games played last night, but tonight we have a massive 14-game slate with several opportunities to attack, and there is no obvious chalk stack. Therefore, you don't have to worry about ownership. Just build the lineup you want with your favorite stack tonight and let's have some fun. I have found some plays that I think you should include in your lineups, regardless of who you want to stack, and they will help you climb that leaderboard. Additionally, I would like to wish all my American friends an early Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday with your loved ones.

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Carter Hart - DK $7.1K || FD $6.8K

Opponent - New York Islanders

In the NHL, goalies can be quite unpredictable, so it's rarely worth spending a lot of money on them. Therefore, I have changed my approach to building lineups by selecting the cheapest goalies who are likely to face the most shots. Although I am not certain if Hart will face the most shots tonight, I find it hard to believe that he is priced at $7100 against the Islanders, who are in the bottom of the league on Home ice in goals per 60. My only concern with Hart is that he might not get to 35 saves, even though the Islanders rank in the top 10 on Home ice in shots per 60 at 32.32.

 Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
  • Hill (DK $7.4DK || FD 7.6K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Adam Fantilli - DK $4.6K || FD $5.2K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

Fantilli has been experiencing a bit of a dry spell lately, failing to score any goals in the past four games. Despite this, he has taken a total of 22 shots in those four games. As the next game approaches, it's worth noting that the Hawks team he will be facing ranks in the bottom 5 when it comes to Shots Allowed/60, Scoring Chances Allowed/60, and High Danger Chances Allowed/60 while playing on the road. This presents a perfect opportunity for Fantilli to break his goalless streak and possibly even hit the shot bonus - a feat that would result in a nice 5x return, given his prices. So, as fans, we can look forward to an exciting game ahead and hope that Fantilli will deliver a much-needed win for his team.

  •  Mercer (DK $4.0K || FD $4.7K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

Filip Forsberg - DK $7.4K || FD $9.4K

Opponent - Calgary Flames

In Mr. Forsberg's last four games, he has scored five goals, made two assists, and had 23 shots on the goal. His price floor is twice the value of his cost, and his performance ceiling is being the highest-scoring forward of the night. That's how good his matchup is against the Flames on home ice tonight. Along with O'Reilly, Forsberg has been playing exceptionally well at home, and I expect that to continue tonight against the Flames.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  •  Buchnevich (DK $5.5K || FD $6.3K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Rasmus Dahlin  - DK $6.1K || FD $6.8K

Opponent - Washington Capitals

I have a strategy of targeting the Capitals with defensemen, as shown in the chart below. For tonight's game, we have an opportunity to pick up an underpriced Dahlin, who is coming off a great performance in the last game against the Hawks, with one goal, two assists, and five shots. Much like Forsberg, Dahlin has a built-in floor of at least 3X his price, and his ceiling is one of the top defensemen on the entire slate. He is a cash game staple tonight and one of the top one-off plays on the entire slate.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Andersson  (DK 5.4$K || FD $6.0K)
  • Dobson (DK $6.9K || FD $7.4K)
