NFL Wide Receiver Rankings: Week 7 Fantasy Football

By Broderick Delaney [CC-BY-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Zach Wilkens analyzes fantasy football wide receiver rankings for Week 7 of the NFL season in both PPR and standard leagues. Check his WR ranks and rankings analysis before setting your Week 7 lineups.

RotoBaller brings you our Week 7 fantasy football wide receiver rankings by authors Zach Wilkens (@LopsidedTrades) and Ryan Rufe (@RyanRufe), along with wide receiver rankings analysis by Zach Wilkens. For even more Week 7 rankings and analysis, be sure to check out our positional rankings for all other positions.

Editor's Note: In case you missed it, Zach Wilkens and Ryan Rufe nailed their rankings last week. They were both ranked in the top 10 overall accuracy scores on FantasyPros for last week's fantasy football rankings, going up against some of the biggest and baddest fantasy gurus in the industry. Zach came in at 4th overall (out of 133 experts), and Ryan cam in at 7th overall. Congrats guys, let's show them some love!

Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings Analysis

By Georgia National Guard (Flickr: Playoff Pass) [CC-BY-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsMy top six are all elite options this week. So even though I'm "low" on Demaryius this week, I'm really not worried at all. With or without Megatron (assuming that he doesn't play), there is no way Golden Tate doesn't have a great game this week. The Saints are very bad against WRs, and Tate should rack up the targets.

I'm apparently the highest of any expert on Pierre Garcon right now-- I'm giving him a pass for struggling against Seattle and Arizona, even though DeSean Jackson thrived. I still see the same receiver that delivered a fantastic season last year, and he also had great success with Kirk Cousins at the end of the season. Even though I'm really high on Torrey Smith, as well, I'm not totally buying into him. I just think that little of the Falcons defense.

It's a different story for Terrance Williams-- he hasn't exploded for a huge 100-yard performance yet, but he's currently the WR11 on the season and the yardage is on the rise (70+ three straight weeks). As long as DeMarco Murray keeps rolling, Williams will have plenty of touchdown opportunities.

I'm low on Kelvin Benjamin. Green Bay has done an effective job against top receivers, and they've faced plenty (Megatron, Jeffery/BMarsh, Mike Wallace, Eric Decker, Percy Harvin). No WR has gone over 100 yards against them, and while Benjamin has a great shot at a touchdown, I doubt the yardage will be there to make it a great day. I think Mohamed Sanu will do a fine job on the season with Marvin Jones officially out for the year, but he'll have an extremely tough test this coming week against Vontae Davis. Davis did get burned a bit by Andre Johnson last week, but he is an exceptional talent and Sanu is not. I'll like Sanu a lot more after this week.

A lot of experts are expecting big things from Rueben Randle following Victor Cruz's ugly injury, but I just don't think he is capable of delivering. Eli will likely split his targets among Randle, Beckham, Donnell and even Preston Parker, without any of them becoming great. I'd sell high if you can find a big believer. That said, I am most optimistic about Beckham. In a similar situation with the Saints, it helps that Jimmy Graham is out this week, but I have little confidence in which WR will benefit the most between Brandin Cooks, Marques Colston and even Kenny Stills. Cooks is not a touchdown threat, so I don't really understand all the love in standard scoring. Last, I just want to point out that while I am really low on Eric Decker because of Darrelle Revis, I think things will get a lot easier for him after this week.

Good luck in Week 7 RotoBallers!
