NFL DFS Week 13 Picks: Top DraftKings Plays for Daily Fantasy Include Brock Purdy, Rachaad White, Zack Moss, Tyreek Hill

Rachaad White - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Joe Nicely's DraftKings NFL DFS picks and lineup sleepers for the Week 13 (December 2023) Main Slate. His top daily fantasy football lineups to target for DraftKings NFL DFS contests.

Hello, RotoBallers, and fellow NFL DFS grinders. It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is now in the rearview mirror and we are ready to embark on the Week 13 DraftKings Main Slate. As some of you might be falling out of the picture in your season-long leagues, DFS is a great way to stay plugged into NFL fantasy action every week!

This week's DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, projected DK points and ownership, overall upside/talent levels, and opportunity, as well as factors such as Vegas odds, home-field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great plays available on DK for Week 13.

Also, be sure to check out our weekly FanDuel DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big! Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups -- let's dominate this slate together!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 13 DFS Picks

Sam Howell - MIA @ WAS ($6,200)

Volume, volume, volume. That's what we're getting with Sam Howell, as Washington's second-year signal-caller leads the NFL in passing attempts (486), completions (323), and yards (3,339) through the first dozen weeks of the season.

He has been the beneficiary of having one of the NFL's most pass-happy play callers in Eric Bieniemy (Washington ranks second in the league with a 68% situation-neutral pass rate), as well as one of the league's worst defenses.

Howell and the Commanders will almost certainly be in chase mode against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13, as the 'Fins come in as a 9.5-point favorite in what should be one of the Main Slate's most desirable game environments.

Operating as a true gunslinger-type throwback, Howell has attempted 40 or more passes in eight of Washington's last nine games and could realistically sling it 50-plus times this week. It's the type of volume we can't ignore at his $6,200 DraftKings price tag.

Brock Purdy - SF @ PHI ($6,100)

There is more than one way to skin a cat in DFS. Purdy is the anti-Howell, relying on elite efficiency rather than massive volume. Purdy hasn't attempted 40 passes in any game this season and has attempted more than 35 just once.

Despite that relatively low volume, the Niners signal-caller is still averaging a rock-solid 19.6 DraftKings points per game thanks to his NFL-best 9.4 yards per attempt and sharp 70.2% completion rate.

With each passing week, it becomes clear that this Eagles secondary is nowhere near the caliber of unit that many analysts projected them to be in 2023. Over Philly's last four games, they've been shredded by opposing QBs and are allowing a sky-high 31.0 DraftKings points per game to the position. Willing to take what defenses give them, Purdy and this Niners offense will find their path of least resistance through the air this week.

MORE TOP QB PLAYS: Jalen Hurts ($8,200); Russell Wilson ($5,700)

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 13 DFS Picks

Rachaad White - CAR @ TB ($6,300)

There are a few "no-brainer" spots at the running back position on the Main Slate this week. We'll kick things off with Rachaad White, a back who's garnering true workhorse volume out of the Bucs backfield and draws a pristine Week 13 matchup against the lowly Carolina Panthers.

White comes in off a 100-yard rushing effort against the Colts in Week 12. He's averaging 18 touches per game and has handled 15 or more touches in six straight. He should continue to see elite volume against a Panthers run defense that's been the worst in the NFL this season. Carolina ranks dead last in the league in Rush Defense DVOA and has relinquished 2023's most rushing TDs (16) to opposing RBs.

Zack Moss - IND @ TEN ($4,600)

Moss represents Week 13's go-to cash-game play, as he's expected to earn lead-back duties for the Colts in Jonathan Taylor's absence with a DraftKings price tag of just $4,600. Moss' DFS ownership will perhaps be the highest we've seen this season, but he's impossible to ignore in this spot and is as close to a "free square" as we ever see in NFL DFS.

We've seen him thrive in Taylor's absence earlier in the season when he averaged just over 24 touches and 129 yards per game from Week 2 to Week 5. Moss' biggest outing of 2023 came against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5, a game in which he totaled 195 yards and two scores.

He'll try to run it back against Tennessee this week, and while Mike Vrabel's squad has traditionally been a stone wall against the run, that's not necessarily been true as of late with the Titans allowing the NFL's eighth-most DraftKings points to the RB position over the past month.

MORE TOP RB PLAYS: Christian McCaffrey ($9,000); Rhamondre Stevenson ($6,000)

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 13 DFS Picks

Tyreek Hill - MIA @ WAS ($9,600)

The Cheetah has looked superhuman in 2023. Hill leads all wide receivers in receiving yards (1,324), TDs (10), and DraftKings points per game (27.5) through the first 12 weeks of the season. It's no surprise that the speedster also leads all receivers in YAC (525 yards) while being the top option for this Miami passing attack (32.8% team target share).

It's not often that we get a matchup as blatant as Hill's Week 13 date with the Commanders. While the Dolphins wideout has statistically been the NFL's best wide receiver in 2023, Washington has statistically been the NFL's worst defense against the WR position.

They've allowed the league's most yards (2,355), TDs (18), and DK points (520.40) to opposing wideouts. Don't overthink this one...if you're spending up at WR, Tyreek is your man.

Brandon Aiyuk - SF @ PHI ($7,200)

We touched on Philly's struggles in the secondary when discussing Brock Purdy earlier in this article. The Eagles have allowed the NFL's second-most receiving TDs (17) and DraftKings points (519.10), as well as the league's third-most receiving yards (2,148) to the WR position in 2023.

My favorite 49er pass catcher this week is Brandon Aiyuk, a player who leads San Fran in both team target share (21.9%) and air yards (983) by a rather sizeable margin. Over the Niners' current three-game win streak, Aiyuk has totaled 261 receiving yards and three TDs while serving as the team's primary deep threat and averaging a career-high 14.8 aDOT in 2023.

MORE TOP WR PLAYS: Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,500); Tank Dell ($7,400); Curtis Samuel ($4,100)

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 13 DFS Picks

Sam LaPorta - DET @ NO ($5,600)

The rookie comes in off a solid Thanksgiving Day performance against the Green Bay Packers, an outing in which he went 5/47/1 on eight targets. LaPorta has now been targeted at least five times in 10 of Detroit's 11 games this year.

He stands second in the NFL at the TE position in TDs (five), as well as fifth in both receiving yards (539) and targets (77). Once a matchup to fear for tight ends across the league, the Saints are currently a banged-up defensive group that is expected to be down multiple starters in Week 13. New Orleans has relinquished the league's most TDs (six) to the TE position this season.

Pat Freiermuth - ARI @ PIT ($4,300)

The 'Muth is back! It's been an injury-riddled campaign for the talented Steelers tight end, who has suited up just six times in 2023. However, Freiermuth reminded us what he is capable of last week against the Bengals, erupting for 120 yards on nine catches and 11 targets...all of which were season highs.

Though it's just a one-game sample size, Freiermuth looked to be the biggest beneficiary of former Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada's recent departure. He's set up for continued success against Arizona this week. The Cardinals were just clocked for six catches and two TDs by Rams tight end Tyler Higbee last week and have allowed the league's second-most receiving TDs (five) to opposing tight ends.

MORE TOP TE PLAYS: George Kittle ($6,200); Logan Thomas ($3,600); Brevin Jordan* ($2,500) *If Dalton Schultz is ruled out
