NFL DFS: Lions vs. Cowboys DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks (Week 6)

CeeDee Lamb - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS and Betting Picks, NFL Injury News

Today's top NFL DFS lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel -- Lions vs. Cowboys Sunday Late showdown slate for Week 6 (October 13, 2024). Koby's NFL daily fantasy sleeper picks.

We are back again, RotoBallers! We get another tasty matchup this week in the late slate of games. The Dallas Cowboys are taking on the Detroit Lions in what should be an offensive shootout. Both teams have some struggling defenses in one way or another which could lead to a high-scoring game.

Thanks to today's advanced analytics, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups, etc., to help you build the best single-game contest lineups! I will provide you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Lions vs. Cowboys NFL DFS showdown slate for Sunday, October 13, 2024.

These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, follow me on X @DFSKoby and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts whenever you'd like!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

MVP/Captain - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

CeeDee Lamb - WR, $15,900 (DK), $16,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 41 targets, 25 receptions, 378 receiving yards, and two touchdowns

Ceedee Lamb has been rough this year and definitely not as efficient as the prior season. He also has gone up against some tough defenses so far. This game, however, he has a chance for a big game as the Lions' defense against opposing WRs is ranked 31st!

The only team worse than them is the Jaguars so far this season. DK Metcalf, Cooper Kupp, and Chris Godwin all had a big game against this defense. This should be the CeeDee Boom game!

David Montgomery - RB, $12,000 (DK), $12,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 271 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, nine receptions, 94 receiving yards

This is a combo pick. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are viable options and you can even play them together. They complement each other extremely well and have scored double digits in all four games this season. Both are involved in the passing game and the red zone.

I like David Montgomery slightly more because of his goal-line carries, but in the end, they both have four total touchdowns each, so it's a tossup. The Cowboys have also given up the seventh most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season, which could lead to these guys carrying a large workload, especially if they get up early in this game.

Other Captains/MVPs: Dak Prescott, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs

Flex Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Rico Dowdle - RB, $6,600 (DK), $10,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 221 rushing yards, 11 receptions, 101 receiving yards, and two touchdowns

Rico has established himself as the bell cow now in this offense. Move over, Ezekiel Elliot; Rico is here and has been cooking these last two weeks. Over that time, he has finished with 31 rushing attempts for 133 yards and two receiving touchdowns!

He is also getting a little bit of focus in the passing game. Rico is also filthy cheap on DK as he is only 6.6k which is good enough for a value play to me. You are getting an RB1 for the price of a WR2.

Jameson Williams - WR, $7,400 (DK), $10,500 (FD)

I'm a little bit suspicious of Jameson Williams as his target share has gone down but that's perfect as he will be lower-owned in those GPPs. He has flashed off potential as the deep threat guy this season and has finished with 80 yards in three of four games this season.

Honestly, though he just needs one deep ball for a touchdown to be close to 15 fantasy points. If you are looking to get different in your lineups Jameson could be your guy.

Other Flex Options: Jake Ferguson, Jared Goff

Value Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Brandon Aubrey - K, $5,400 (DK), $9,000 (FD)

Brandon Aubrey is having a phenomenal season at kicker this year. I have a feeling in the future he will break the longest field goal record because he has started to come pretty close to it.

As for DFS, he has been a menace; he has finished with 10+ fantasy points in all five games this season, which is better than some WRs and RBs this year. His price is still fairly low so I will gladly take 10+ points from someone so cheap.

Jalen Tolbert - WR, $7,000 (DK), $8,500 (FD)

Jalen Tolbert doesn't seem to like it when I pick him this season. Last time, I had him in a piece against the Giants, and he threw up a dud. Last week, however, he had a crazy good day, finishing with 18 fantasy points.

He has solidified himself as the WR2 with Brandin Cooks now on IR and is surprisingly only 8.5k against a team that struggles against WRs! Sign me up for that; he will probably end up with decently high ownership, so a pivot onto KaVontae Turpin could be a solid move in GPPs.

Other Value Plays: KaVontae Turpin, Tim Patrick

Enjoy your night, and good luck, everyone!
