NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Bears vs. Vikings MNF Showdown

Cole Kmet - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL injury News

John's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Bears vs. Vikings showdown slate on 11/27/2023. His Monday Night Football daily fantasy football advice.

Happy Monday, RotoBallers! We're back with another Monday Night Football showdown article! We have an NFC North showdown tonight as Justin Fields and the Bears (3-8) head up (further) north to take on Joshua Dobbs and the Vikings (6-5).

We have been pretty successful so far with these showdown slates and hopefully, that trend continues from last year into this year. Most of us started our fantasy journeys with football, so it's always nice when it comes around and it's always a shame for it to come to an end. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Bears vs. Vikings NFL DFS showdown slate on November 27. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, you can follow me on Twitter/X @LucidMediaDFS and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts at any time you'd like!

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge is back with a massive $500,000 grand prize and $1.35 million total prize pool, paying down to 800th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 10 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The 7,250 entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 10th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $500,000! Sign Up Now!

MVP/Captain Plays

T.J. Hockenson - TE, $13,500 (DK), $13,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 102 targets, 75 receptions, 736 receiving yards, four touchdowns.
  • Opposing DVOA vs TE: -0.35%

I'll start things off with T.J. Hockenson tonight. Hockenson is all too familiar with squaring off against the Bears, coming in with 35 catches for 348 yards and two touchdowns against Chicago in eight games. Tonight, he projects to 5.51 receptions on 7.74 targets for 61.06 yards and 0.39 touchdowns. The DVOA matchup isn't great as Chicago sits in the middle of the pack; however, they rank 26th in receptions allowed to the tight end position and 21st in touchdowns allowed to the tight end position.

Justin Fields - QB, $16,800 (DK), $16,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 1,370 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, six interceptions, 65 rushing attempts, 341 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, and one fumble lost.
  • Projected Passing DVOA: -14.35%

I'll take a look at the other side of the field with Justin Fields next. Fields doesn't project all too well as a passer tonight, but he does look pretty good if he can get things going with his legs. He projects to 19.44 completions on 29.05 attempts for just 193.21 yards and one touchdown. He needs to limit turning the ball over if he wants to meet his ceiling, and I think he does more than enough on the ground (9.8 rushing attempts, 51.74 rushing yards, 0.32 rushing touchdowns) to be an X factor at the 1.5x position tonight.

Other Captains/MVPs: Joshua Dobbs, K.J. Osborn, Cole Kmet, D.J. Moore

DFS Flex Plays

Joshua Dobbs - QB, $10,000 (DK), $15,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 2,216 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, six interceptions, 70 rushing attempts, 389 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns, and seven fumbles lost.
  • Projected Pass DVOA: 29.14%

I'll take a look at the other quarterback in this game, Joshua Dobbs, tonight as my first flex option. Dobbs is averaging nearly 24 fantasy points per game since joining the Vikings. Tonight he projects for some minor regression, but still pretty good regardless: 239 passing yards, 1.81 touchdowns, 0.74 interceptions, 21.13 rushing yards on 4.69 carries, and 0.04 rushing touchdowns. The Bears have struggled against the quarterback position this season, and while they've been a bit better over the last month or so, I'm expecting them to regress against arguably the hottest quarterback in the league.

Cole Kmet - TE, $6,200 (DK), $10,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 61 targets, 49 receptions, 439 receiving yards, five touchdowns.
  • Opposing DVOA vs TE: 8.72%

I'll take a look at Cole Kmet next. Kmet, along with DJ Moore, have been the favorite targets for Fields when he's under center. Kmet projects 3.26 receptions on 5.46 targets for 37.3 yards and 0.25 touchdowns. The Vikings are quite the opposite of their counterparts against the tight end position, ranking 19th in DVOA but ranking in the upper half of the league in all stats against tight ends aside from touchdowns, where they allow 0.36 per game (21st).

Other Flex Options: Jordan Addison, DJ Moore, Alexander Mattison

DFS Value Plays

Minnesota Vikings - D/ST, $4,400 (DK), $9,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 20.18 points per game allowed, 29 sacks, nine interceptions, five fumble recoveries, two defensive touchdowns.

I'll take a look at the Vikings defense tonight. I'll be about 50/50 on the Vikings tonight in my lineups. Half of me thinks this game ends in a lower-scoring Minnesota win, but the other half of me thinks we could see a wire-to-wire shootout with both offenses showing us their best. Regardless, the Vikings project to a 28.03% pressure rate and 9.33 sack rate against this Bears offensive line, and could force Fields to make a few mistakes.

Roschon Johnson - RB, $3,000 (DK), $7,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 44 rushing attempts, 197 rushing yards, 23 targets, 19 receptions, 91 receiving yards, and one touchdown.
  • Projected Rushing DVOA: -11.93%

I'll wrap things up with Roschon Johnson. D'Onta Foreman was ruled out of last night's game, making Johnson the bona fide RB2. While I don't anticipate Johnson doing much on the ground (5.86 carries, 19.92 rushing yards), I expect him to take advantage of quick-pass opportunities out of the backfield. He projects to 2.78 receptions on 4.01 targets for 22.26 yards. He also projects to 0.23 touchdowns. Should this game go back and forth, I'll be shocked to see Johnson not get involved.

Other Value Plays: Ty Chandler, Cairo Santos, Josh Oliver, K.J. Osborn

Enjoy your week and good luck, everyone!
