NFL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings - Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl LVII Showdown Including Patrick Mahomes, Isiah Pacheco, Miles Sanders

Patrick Mahomes - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Injury News

Jackson's top NFL DFS lineup picks for DraftKings - Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl LVII showdown slate on 2/12. His Super Bowl daily fantasy football advice.

The Super Bowl is finally here, but that means there is only one opportunity left for fantasy football enthusiasts to take part in single-game DFS contests. Patrick Mahomes just won his second MVP trophy and is looking for his second Lombardi. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts is playing in just his second postseason and fourth playoff game overall. The Eagles are viewed as the better team from top to bottom, but Mahomes has proven to rise to the top when it matters most.

However, this Chiefs-Eagles contest features plenty of big-name fantasy superstars outside of just the signal-callers. As always, the superstars carry hefty price tags, so we'll have to dive deep into this slate. The Eagles sit as a 1.5 favorite and the projected point total is currently 51.0. Ultimately, it's expected to be a nail-biter with plenty of scoring, a perfect scenario for a fun final DFS tournament.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on DraftKings for the Chiefs vs. Eagles NFL DFS showdown slate on February 12th. You can see our FanDuel Super Bowl NFL DFS picks as well. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value selections. Captain Plays

Patrick Mahomes - QB, $16,500

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 5,250 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 358 rushing yards, and four rushing touchdowns.
  • 26.4 DK points per game.
  • The Eagles allow the fewest DK points to QBs.

There were plenty of injury and matchup concerns for Mahomes in the AFC title game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but as Mahomes usually does, he exceeded expectations and passed for 326 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles are the fiercest defense against fantasy quarterbacks but gave up plenty of production to Justin Fields, Kyler Murray, and Daniel Jones. Ultimately, they went the entire season without facing the elite fantasy QBs and Mahomes has proven to be matchup-proof. If other DFSers are going to fade Mahomes because he's "outmatched," I'll gladly trust him in my captain chair. If the Chiefs win this game, it'll be because he played like Superman once again.

A.J. Brown - WR, $13,800

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 145 targets, 88 receptions, 1,496 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns.
  • Seven games of at least 19.3 DK points.
  • Chiefs rank 28th against wide receivers in DK scoring.

Brown was silent in the two playoff wins over the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, but ultimately, the Eagles dominated both games and weren't incentivized to air it out. He ended the regular season with games of 181, 103, 97, and 95 yards before failing to reach 30 yards in both postseason contests. I'm betting on a Brown volume game to snap the cold streak. He is one of the elite YAC receivers in the NFL, so expect chunk plays against a soft Kansas City secondary.

Other Captains: Jalen Hurts, Travis Kelce, DeVonta Smith

DFS Flex Plays

Jalen Hurts - QB, $11,200

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 3,701 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, six interceptions, 760 rushing yards, and 13 rushing touchdowns.
  • 25.8 DK points per game.
  • Chiefs allow the fifth-most DK points to QBs.

Needless to say, Hurts is also a great choice at the captain, but playing A.J. Brown at the captain and Hurts at flex gives you a little bit more flexibility for the rest of your lineup. In DraftKings' full-PPR scoring, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends come closer to quarterbacks, so there's a real chance Brown outscores him.

Either way, Hurts is an easy choice for DFS since he can get it done in any game script. Whether Super Bowl LVII becomes a high-flying shootout or Philadelphia controls the clock on the ground, Hurts will be at the center of it all scoring fantasy points. If Philly gets inside the three-yard-line, he's a virtual lock to score on a QB sneak, but he also has three stud pass-catching options that can take a reception to the house at any moment.

Travis Kelce - TE, $10,600

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 152 targets, 110 receptions, 1,338 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
  • 20.6 DK points per game.
  • Eagles allow the 10th-fewest DK points to TEs.

Like Mahomes, Kelce is going to have to put on a masterful performance to defeat the loaded Eagles roster. While the Eagles are strong on paper against tight ends, they're generally friendlier against the position than against outside receivers. Kelce is making a case for the greatest tight end of all time and he's another player who is matchup-proof. He'll likely see plenty of double coverage, but I expect an all-time Super Bowl performance from Kelce in a matchup with his brother.

Other Flex Options: Isiah Pacheco, Jerick McKinnon, DeVonta Smith, Miles Sanders

DFS Value Plays

JuJu Smith-Schuster - WR, $5,600

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 101 targets, 78 receptions, 933 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.
  • Sevan games with at least eight targets.

Smith-Schuster's upside well exceeds his price tag. Although he hasn't scored double-digit DraftKings points since Week 15, it's important to note he was the receiving leader among Chiefs' wideouts in 2022. He's been priced down thanks to a late-season slump and a minor injury, but he practiced in full this week and has the most impressive resume of any Kansas City pass-catcher not named Travis Kelce. While Darius Slay and James Bradberry smother outside receivers, Smith-Schuster and Kelce should see plenty of volume working the middle of the field.

Justin Watson - WR, $2,000

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 34 targets, 15 receptions, 315 receiving yards, and two touchdowns
  • 21.0 yards per reception.
  • 19.5 average target distance.

Watson gives you a similar boom-or-bust upside as Marques Valdez-Scantling at one-third of the price. Watson missed the AFC Championship game with an illness so most DFSers have forgotten about him, but he'll likely play more snaps than the casual fan thinks. I expect Mahomes and Andy Reid to challenge the physical Eagles' corners with Watson's speed.

Even if he only sees a handful of targets, all he needs is one or two explosive deep shots to pay off at his cheap price. If Smith-Schuster (knee) or Kadarius Toney (ankle/hamstring) are limited at all, Watson could be a big factor. There are plenty of expensive assets in this single-game slate, so Watson is a nice value piece to cap off a lineup.

Other Value Plays: Kenneth Gainwell, Kadarius Toney, Eagles DST, Quez Watkins
