NBA Waiver Wire: Deeper League Adds for Week 22

Week 22 fantasy basketball waiver wire adds for deeper leagues. Take a look at Three NBA players who are owned in less than 15% of fantasy basketball leagues.

Now that you're in the playoffs, it doesn't mean it's time to take your foot off the gas when it comes to streaming. If anything, in a single elimination format, it is even more important than before to sell out for that W.

We're here to help you pick out targets to swing those match-ups.

Here are today's Week 22 deeper league waiver wire pickups for your fantasy basketball teams.

Deep League Adds for Week 22

Ed Davis, PF/C, Portland Trail Blazers (15% Owned in Yahoo! Leagues)

The playoffs are the time for specialists, as you get to plan ahead for specific match-ups in a single elimination setting, and that increases the value of specialists - guys who can swing a match with large contributions in certain stats.

Ed Davis is that guy for rebounds and blocks, boasting per 36 numbers of 14.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. He's seen his minutes go up past the 20 minute mark in 5 out of the last 6 games, a trend in the right direction. With Jusuf Nurkic's propensity to get into foul trouble, Davis has a fairly defined role as the backup big man, and his blocks and if you're in the market for the numbers he provides, he can be a solid pickup to attack those categories.

Look at Davis as a late week pickup to try to steal rebounds or blocks in a close match. You won't find a better guy for that specific role on the waiver wire.

Ben McLemore, SG, Memphis Grizzlies (14% Owned in Yahoo! Leagues)

I can't believe I am saying this, but Ben McLemore right now is close to a must own guy. The tanking Grizzlies are going nowhere, and McLemore is one of their young guys slated to get some run as the Grizzlies stop to take a look at what they have.

Surprisingly, in the last 2 weeks, McLemore sits in the top 60 with 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.3 steals. He's shooting an utterly unsustainable 53% over those 7 games, but even if that goes down, there's still some reasonable numbers elsewhere to make him a playable guy.

The most important number is the minutes, and that has gone up to around 30 a game as McLemore has taken Wayne Selden's spot in the rotation. With Tyreke Evans, Mario Chalmers and Andrew Harrison all banged up, the minutes will absolutely be there in the short run, and with just 2 and a half more weeks of playoffs remaining, McLemore might be able to squeeze enough value out to make a difference.

Jarell Martin, PF/C, Memphis Grizzlies (7% Owned in Yahoo! Leagues)

I mentioned Jarrell Martin here last week, but he promptly got injured after that and his ownership actually went down so he's worth bringing up again.

After returning from a 2-game absence, Martin has slotted right back into big minutes, going for almost 30 a game, and he's put up solid numbers in those 3 games with double digit points, some rebounds and assists as well as a sprinkling of defensive stats and 3s.

Martin is by no means a high upside guy, but he's clearly going to have a role to play for the tanking Grizzlies, and you can do worse with your streamer spots these next couple weeks.
