Deep League Adds for Week 21

Denzel Valentine, SG/SF, Chicago Bulls (15% Owned in Yahoo! Leagues)

Justin Holiday has finally fallen close to out of the rotation, picking up DNP-CDs in 4 out of the last 5 games. With the Bulls in full tank mode, Denzel "The Hammer" Valentine will look to get more minutes down the stretch as the Bulls move on from Holiday and his "greenest of lights".

Coach Hoiberg is known for lineup shenanigans so it won't be a sure thing, but the Bulls excellent 3/4/4 playoff schedule in weeks 22/23/24 is another positive for Valentine and logic dictates the younger players will get a chance to play more. Zach Lavine is already confirmed to be sitting the second game of back to backs, and Valentine will get a full load of minutes in those games. If the Bulls embrace the tank further and limit Lavine even more in an effort to preserve him for the future, Valentine's minutes will only go up. He is worth a flier in 14 team leagues and up.

Milos Teodosic, PG/SG, Los Angeles Clippers (14% Owned in Yahoo! Leagues)

Teodosic is very build dependent, but he looks like he has a shot to provide owners with decent production in the playoffs if they need his stats due to the Clippers 4/4/4 playoff schedule in the next 3 weeks. He's a startable source of steals, assists, points and 3s, especially in 4 game weeks, and the Clippers are the only team with the perfect schedule for standard playoffs.

Over the last 2 weeks, Teodosic has averaged 11.3 points, 2.3 threes, 4.5 assists. 0.5 steals and 3.1 rebounds, and he looks like he is close to fully recovered from his injury woes, settling into minutes in the high 20s. He is a negative in FG% and fits best in builds that punt that stat or can eat the negative without too much drop-off, but if your team fits the right build for him, his schedule and increasing production make him ownable in 12-team leagues and up.

Jarell Martin, PF/C, Memphis Grizzlies (12% Owned in Yahoo! Leagues)

Here's another tanking team and another guy that looks to take advantage of that. The Grizzlies have been resting Marc Gasol on back to backs, and look to be limiting his minutes to preserve his help during this lost season, and Jarrell Martin has seen a massive increase in minutes as a result. Martin has averaged 32 minutes a game in the last 2 weeks, and looks to continue to play a decent role as he is one of the younger guys Memphis wants to take a look at as the season winds down.

He was a top-120 ish player in the last week, averaging 15 points, 1.3 3s, 6.8 boards and 3.3 assists, and can be a solid contributor as a low end big man. Martin is a good free-throw shooter, averaging 79% on the season, and if he is able to keep getting minutes in the low 30s going forward, he can be something like an Enes Kanter lite, a big who can contribute in points and rebounds without hurting your percentages.

By no means is Martin a high-upside pickup, but there are teams out there who need the stats he provides, and the Grizzlies' 3/4/4 playoff schedule is great as well. He has a place in all 14-team and up leagues.
