Today's NBA Picks: Top Player Props, Odds, and Best Bets (Thursday, 2/25/26)

Jabari-Smith-Jr. - NBA-DFS-Picks-Daily-Fantasy-Basketball-Rankings-Injury-News

Get Keith Eyster's top NBA player props and expert picks for Wednesday, 2/25/26. Uncover today's best value bets, model projections, and live odds to beat the books.

Welcome back to another edition of RotoBaller's NBA Props! There are six games on the schedule this evening, highlighted by a matchup of top contenders in Oklahoma City and Detroit.

Half of the teams on the slate will be playing on the second leg of a back-to-back set, so there should be plenty of injury news to monitor throughout the day. Memphis, Oklahoma City, and Golden State are navigating clusters of injuries, while Amen Thompson is a key rotation piece who has been ruled out by Houston.

In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Wednesday, February 25th. Prop picks can range from individual stats, such as points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive statistics, to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Alright, let's get to the picks already!

Today’s Best NBA Picks for Player Props

Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:

Victor Wembanyama over 34.5 Points + Rebounds (-121 DraftKings), (-120 NOVIG)

Young superstar Victor Wembanyama played more than 35 minutes in his last game versus Detroit. It was the first time he had reached that level of court time since mid-November, as injuries and lopsided scores have contributed to inconsistent minutes. For the season, he is averaging 24.2 points and 11.3 rebounds in just 29.1 minutes per game.

The injury management is no longer a concern, and the 6.5-point spread suggests this game should remain competitive. The matchup is a difficult one against a Toronto defense that ranks sixth in efficiency, but Wembenyama is perhaps the most matchup-proof player in the league. In fact, he dominated this matchup against a fully healthy Toronto squad earlier this season when he went for 24 points and 15 rebounds.

Jabari Smith Jr. over 22.5 Points + Rebounds (-115 Bet365)

Rockets forward Jabari Smith is putting together the most consistent season of his career. He's averaging a career-high 15.6 points and 7.0 rebounds in 35.0 minutes per game. Importantly, Houston has ruled out Amen Thompson for this game. When Thompson sat against OKC earlier this month, Smith racked up 22 points and 10 boards against the league's top defensive unit. His matchup tonight is far easier, as the Sacramento Kings rank 29th in defensive efficiency this season. He just dominated a similar matchup against Utah last game, and should have another huge role with Thompson sidelined.

Top NBA Value Picks and Sleeper Props

Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies in the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations. We don't want to wager only on superstars; it's often the role players and lesser-known players who may offer us the best markets.

Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.

Gui Santos over 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114 FanDuel), (-117 NOVIG)

Warriors forward Gui Santos has stepped into a huge role since Stephen Curry went down with an injury. Santos has started the eight games since then, averaging 15.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists (25.6 PRA) per game. He's cleared 24.5 PRA six times during that stretch, and he just went off for 31 PRA last night against New Orleans.

Golden State will again be shorthanded, without at least Curry and Kristaps Porzingis. Al Horford might return, but there is a chance other veterans like Draymond Green and/or De'Anthony Melton could rest on the back-to-back. Regardless, Santos should be locked into a starting role with a great matchup against a struggling Memphis squad.

GG Jackson II over 14.5 Points (-118 DraftKings), (-128 NOVIG)

Memphis wing GG Jackson has been one of their more reliable players amid multiple injuries on the roster.  In 14 games since Ja Morant went down, Jackson has averaged 15.0 points per game. Since Jaren Jackson Jr. was traded, that scoring average has jumped to 16.6 points per game. He's cleared 14.5 points in eight of 14 games without Morant and six of eight games without both Morant and JJJ, including each of his last four games.

Tonight's matchup against Golden State could potentially become more appealing if they decide to rest players on the second leg of a back-to-back.

Reed Sheppard over 14.5 Points (-105 Bet365), (-115 NOVIG)

With Amen Thompson ruled out for the game, Reed Sheppard has a chance to draw a spot start tonight. Even if he doesn't start, he should see an increased role as he takes on the majority of the ball-handling responsibilities for Houston. For the season, Sheppard is averaging 12.7 points in just 24.6 minutes per game. There is a decent chance he plays more than 30 minutes tonight with Thompson sidelined. Sheppard also gets a dream matchup against the Kings' 29th-ranked defense.
