Recommended plays for NBA action on 3/24:

Kemba Walker BobcatsPG: Kemba Walker ($15,071): Walker has been a bit erratic over the past five games, with three games over 20 points scored but just 7 in the other two contests.  Much of that has to do with his poor shooting ,as he is hitting just 39% over his past two weeks.  The good news is that even when he has scored, Walker has been handing out a ton of assists, with 5+ in 11 games.  Along with that, he's a solid rebounder from the point guard spot, and he has the potential for big steals numbers here and there.  The Rockets are not particularly strong against the point guard and they give up 102 points a game as a team, so Walker should be able to get loose today for a big scoring night at home.

SG: Patty Mills ($6,640): Even though there have been no indications that Tony Parker will not play tonight, a matchup with the lowly Sixers likely means little to no time for the Spurs lead guard.  That means more time for the explosive Mills to get on the floor against the league’s worst defensive team.  He hasn't been doing much recently, but Mills only needs about 25 minutes to explode for a huge scoring night like he did when he notched 9 points and 10 rebounds against Miami the other night.  At this price, you will not find a much better punt option on the board.

SF: DeMarre Carroll ($10,549): Yesterday was the first time in four games that Carroll was able to top 10 points, but the rest of his game has been solid of late.  Over the past 15 days, he is averaging 6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game.  Much of that is due to the fact that he is getting a ton of minutes (37 per night) recently, and he gives the Hawks a great all-around wing player.  Tonight he is at home against a Phoenix team that is on a back-to-back set after playing in Minnesota last night.  Look for Carroll to stay hot and provide great value.

PF: Greg Monroe ($14,957): Despite a drop in stats the last few nights since Andre Drummond’s return, Monroe’s game has still been the best it has been all season.  Over the past few weeks he is averaging 15.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.  Monroe’s defense has especially gone up a notch as he has 10 blocks and 7 steals in his last five outings.  Tonight he gets a weak Jazz frontline that allows over 101 points a night and turns the ball over 14 times a game.  Look for the Pistons big man to have a top five scoring night.

C: Tiago Splitter ($11,301): Much like Mills, Splitter would be a huge bump if Tim Duncan were to sit this game out.  However, even if Duncan does play, Splitter should make for a good play as he is coming in with two straight double-doubles.  In the Spurs last game he played 35 minutes which was the most he has had since February 26th and continued his efficient play.  Any time you can get a big that is likely to play over 30 minutes against the frontline of the Sixers it is hard to argue against it.  Expect Splitter’s double-double streak to hit three while also tossing in a few blocks.
