NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (4/30/24)

Khris Middleton - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Max Kulish's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on April 30, 2024.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Tonight, we've got a triple-header of Game 5's, highlighted by two home teams looking to stave off elimination and fight another day. These articles focus on the overall best plays, which are typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/30/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EDT on FanDuel and DraftKings. As always, feel free to follow my X/Twitter (@Maxadelphia) to keep up to date with NBA news and for my nightly NBA bets if you're into that sort of thing. Let's go!

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Sometimes the slate is tough to read, but sometimes like tonight, it's glaringly obvious. Tonight's slate is all about the Bucks and their lack of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. In their absence, Khris Middleton has cemented himself as the top dog and has performed admirably in the last two games, averaging more than 55 fantasy points per game. The biggest question of the slate tonight for cash and tournament players alike is how many Bucks are you willing to play?

  1. Khris Middleton, MIL vs. IND – SF ($8.5K DK; $8.9K FD)
  2. Jalen Brunson, NYK vs. PHI – PG ($9.5K DK; $10.3K FD)
  3. Joel Embiid, PHI at NYK – C ($9.3K DK; $9.5K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

We've already established the Bucks are the best spot to look for value plays tonight, but on the other side of that matchup, there's plenty of value to be found, too. The Pacers have had one of the deepest bench rotations in the playoffs thus far, and have numerous salary-saving options.

Top Value Plays:

  1. Malik Beasley, MIL vs. IND - SG ($4.6K DK; $4.7K FD)
  2. Andre Jackson Jr., MIL vs. IND - PG/SF ($3.8K DK; $4.3K FD)
  3. Andrew Nembhard, IND at MIL – PG/SG ($4.7K DK; $5.9K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

PG is the only position on the slate tonight with more than two players priced at $8K or greater. So, as usual, this is a prime position to spend big on to make sure you get someone with a high floor/ceiling combo.

Top PG Options:

  1. Jalen Brunson, NYK vs. PHI ($9.5K DK; $12.3K FD)
  2. Tyrese Maxey, PHI at NYK ($8.4K DK; $10.3K FD)
  3. Andre Jackson Jr., MIL vs. IND ($3.8K DK; $4.3K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

SG doesn't leave much room for innovation tonight. With only two players priced at $6K or above, there's not much of a choice of whether to pay down or not. Find your favorite value play and lock them in.

Top SG Options:

  1. Malik Beasley, MIL vs. IND ($4.6K DK; $4.7K FD)
  2. Andrew Nembhard, IND at MIL ($4.7K DK; $5.9K FD)
  3. Kelly Oubre Jr., DAL at LAC ($8.3K DK; $9.7K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

SF is the deepest position on the slate tonight. There are quality options top to bottom tonight, including Khris Middleton, who is my favorite play on the slate tonight.

Top SF Options:

  1. Khris Middleton, MIL vs. IND ($8.5K DK; $8.9K FD)
  2. Pascal Siakam, IND at MIL ($8.6K DK; $9.1.K FD)
  3. OG Anunoby, NYK vs. PHI ($5.6K DK; $6.5K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

PF is marginally less deep than SF tonight, but make no mistake; the three forward spots in your lineup will determine how successful your night of DFS is. PF is likely to end up as a second SF or center spot, depending on where you decide to pay up.

Top PF Options:

  1. Josh Hart, NYK vs. PHI ($7.5K DK; $7.9K FD)
  2. Bobby Portis, MIL vs. IND ($7.6K DK; $8.2K FD)
  3. Obi Toppin, IND at MIL ($4K DK; $4.4K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

Center isn't very deep by the number of viable options, but it is very flexible in terms of having options that fit into any roster construction. The three top plays listed are my favorites for their respective price ranges, but if you're forgoing Joel Embiid for a cheaper option, there are decisions to be made.

Top C Options:

  1. Joel Embiid, PHI at NYK ($10.9K DK; $11.8K FD)
  2. Brook Lopez, NO vs. LAL ($6.2K DK; $7.3K FD)
  3. Jonathan Isaac, ORL at CLE ($4.4K DK; $5.5K FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

  1. Pacers at Bucks (214.5 total)
  2. Sixers at Knicks (202.5 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

  1. Tyrese Haliburton has been more of a traditional PG this series, primarily looking to get teammates involved. He's my least favorite of the top tier of PGs.
  2. The Cavs-Magic series has been incredibly volatile and mostly slow-paced, and there's a reason there was only one player mentioned from that game in this article.

My Favorite NBA DFS Picks for Today

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

  • My favorite overall play on the slate: Khris Middleton
  • My favorite CASH play on the slate: Jalen Brunson
  • My favorite GPP play on the slate: Bobby Portis
  • My favorite value play: Malik Beasley
