Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have another round of the Emirates NBA Cup in store for us on Friday, which means tighter rotations and a little extra to play for. There are 11 games total on the NBA schedule, but both DraftKings and FanDuel have decided to roll with a 9-game main slate that omits the two games in the 10 pm ET window.
Of the nine games on the DFS slate, there are three that stand out with a total above 239 points -- Cavaliers-Wizards, Bulls-Bucks, and Hornets-Heat. Additionally, there are two big names listed as questionable on the injury report in LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards.

NBA DFS Core Picks
Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF ($11,600 DK/$12,000 FD)
With Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic off the slate, and Victor Wembanyama facing a tough Rockets defense, the honor of highest ceiling on the slate goes to Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks have a massive implied team total in a matchup with the Chicago Bulls, who have played at a top-10 pace this season after finishing second last season.
Antetokounmpo showed off his elite ceiling earlier this season when he poured in 40 points and grabbed 14 rebounds against the Cavaliers. The Greek Freak also has a game with 20 rebounds this season, demonstrating he has multiple paths to a huge fantasy performance. Overall, he's averaging more than 1.9 fantasy points per minute, which also establishes an excellent floor. With an up-tempo matchup against an Eastern Conference contender and the ability to access an elite ceiling, Antetokounmpo is the top play on the slate.
Jalen Duren - C ($7,500 DK/$7,200 FD)
Pistons big man Jalen Duren is flashing a different level to his fantasy performance this season, already recording three games with more than 50 fantasy points. He is coming off his best performance of the season in his last game against Utah, when he dropped 22 points and 22 rebounds. It marked his fourth game already with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds this season.
22 points & 22 rebounds 😱

Now, he gets one of the best possible matchups against the Brooklyn Nets, who rank dead last in defensive rating. In addition to the poor defense, the Nets have also allowed the third-most rebounds in the league, which makes this an eruption spot for Duren. His salary has not quite adjusted to his new performance level, and when the elite matchup is added in, he becomes one of the top point-per-dollar plays on the slate.
NBA DFS GPP Pivots
Donovan Mitchell - SG ($9,000 DK), SG/PG ($8,900 FD)
The Cleveland Cavaliers have the highest implied team total on the slate as 13.5-point favorites in a 240.5 game total. Darius Garland was able to make his season debut earlier this week and played 26 minutes, so he should be able to approach 30 minutes in this contest. With Garland back in the lineup to facilitate the offense, Donovan Mitchell is free to handle the bulk of the scoring load for this team, and he just demonstrated what that looked like when he dropped a massive 46 points on the Sixers.
Tonight, Mitchell gets an elite matchup against the Washington Wizards, who play fast (3rd in pace) and are an awful defensive team that ranks 29th in efficiency. The 29-year-old is off to a roaring start this season, scoring 30+ points in five of seven games, and now he gets his best matchup yet. That screams tournament ceiling as long as the Wizards can keep the game close. Let's just hope Spida spent his off day playing some more NBA 2K against kids who think he's washed up.
Donovan Mitchell says he was ‘pissed off’ at being called ‘washed’ while playing 2K 😭

Josh Giddey - PG ($9,300 DK), PG/SG ($9,400 FD)
The Chicago Bulls have been one of the biggest surprises to start the 2024-2025 NBA season, as they sit atop the Eastern Conference with a 6-1 record. The fact that they have done it without Coby White makes it even more surprising. For a big reason why, look no further than 5th-year guard Josh Giddey, who is filling up the stat sheet with averages of 23.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 9.1 assists. That's right, the 23-year-old is nearly averaging a triple-double through seven games, and that part isn't surprising if you look back at his performance down the stretch of last season.
Tonight, the Bulls are 4.5-point underdogs against the rival Milwaukee Bucks, but don't be surprised if they put a great fight and possible even come away with a win. The Bucks rank just 21st in defensive rating, and Giddey is primed to take advantage.
NBA DFS Value Picks
Daniel Gafford - C ($5,000 DK/$5,400 FD)
Gafford was finally able to make his season debut earlier this week and has now performed well in back-to-back games. The Mavericks front court is still banged up with Dereck Lively out and Anthony Davis doubtful, so Gafford should have a clear path to 24+ minutes. If Gafford's minutes restriction is loosened by even a couple of minutes, this play could look even better.
As is, Gafford is an excellent per-minute fantasy producer, who is a bit underpriced for the role we have seen in his first two games. The big man contributes solid usage and rebounding, with an outside chance at a double-double. He is also very active defensively, adding at least four "stocks" in each game.
Isaiah Stewart - PF/C ($5,700 DK/$5,100 FD)
Beef Stew makes sense as a value option for multiple reasons. First, Tobias Harris is out again, and Stewart has started and played over 30 minutes in the last two games without Harris. Second, he gets an incredible matchup against the worst defense in the league. And finally, fellow Detroit big man Jalen Duren figures to be a popular choice on this slate given his excellent production to begin this season compared to his price tag.
Stewart can be used as a direct pivot off of Duren, who has been prone to foul trouble in his young career. If Duren finds himself in foul trouble, Stewart would suddenly find himself in an elite spot with less competition for touches and boards. Alternatively, Stewart can be paired with Duren (or Cade Cunningham) in a game stack with Brooklyn pieces in hopes that the game flies over its modest 226.5 total. Michael Porter Jr. has flashed plenty of ceiling this season, or there are multiple value pieces that are underpriced for their role without Cam Thomas.
Isaiah Stewart scored a career-high 26 points tonight against Memphis with 14 rebounds and four blocks, becoming the 6th player in franchise history with such minimums in a game (Duren, Drummond, Laimbeer, Tyler, Lanier).

— Pistons PR (@Pistons_PR) November 4, 2025
Stewart went nuclear in his first start before turning in a more modest performance last time out. Given the elite matchup, expectations should be set somewhere in between those two outings, but he has significant upside for his price.
Terance Mann - SF ($4,500 DK) SF/SG ($4,800 FD)
Mann played a total of 35 minutes after Cam Thomas left with a hamstring injury in the first quarter last game. The 26-year-old produced a solid 15 points and 6 assists in his extended role, and there should be similar expectations tonight. Thomas leaves behind the highest usage rate on the team, so there will be more shots available than usual. Michael Porter Jr. will undoubtedly absorb some of that usage, but Mann makes sense as a solid second or third option in the offense.
Tyrese Martin - PG/SG ($4,000 DK) SG/SF ($4,300 FD)
The other beneficiary of the Cam Thomas injury last game was Tyrese Martin, who played 27 minutes. Martin started the second half in place of the injured Thomas and finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. There's an excellent chance Martin starts again tonight with Thomas already ruled out, which would give him a path to 30+ minutes of action.
Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks
Cavs at Wizards (240.5 O/U) - There is potential for an awesome game environment here if Washington can keep pace. Darius Garland is back in action, but Lonzo Ball and Dean Wade are out, which means there are still some intriguing prices on the Cavs. Jarrett Allen and De'Andre Hunter are solid mid-range pieces, and Donovan Mitchell remains one of my favorite GPP plays overall. Alex Sarr would be my top choice from Washington, as he has been solid to begin the season.
Bulls at Bucks (239.5 O/U) - Two of my favorite plays on the slate are in this high-total game, but we'll need to find value to make it work as they are both expensive. Ayo Dosunmu or Taurean Prince ( both questionable) getting ruled out could open some value within the game that would correlate with Giannis/Giddey.
Hornets at Heat (242.5 O/U) - This game has the highest total on the slate, featuring two teams that have played at a top-six pace this season. LaMelo Ball is the obvious high-ceiling option from the Charlotte side, and pairing him with a value option like Davion Mitchell allows flexibility with the remaining roster spots. Ball is also questionable, and if he gets ruled out, there would be loads of value on the Charlotte side.
