NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FantasyScore Advice for 12/2

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller is proud to be partnering with FantasyScore, our new and exclusive DFS partner. As a subsidiary of the USA TODAY Sports Media Group, FantasyScore has come to the daily league fantasy sports table with possibly the most exciting promotional offer in the DFS industry (along with a top notch product that is powered by one of the biggest media sites in the world).fantasyscore-advertorial

For RotoBaller readers, FantasyScore is offering an instant 50% deposit bonus up to $250. No other DFS site offers an instant match bonus like this!

Other sites claim to provide users with matching dollars on their initial deposits. What they forget to mention is this is not an instant match, and you have to earn those “matched dollars” slowly over time, penny by penny. This can be misleading, and discouraging to new depositors.

Featured Promo: New Novig users get a $25 purchase match (50% discount up to $25) on your first Novig deposit, and 6 free months of RotoBaller's "Big-4" Premium Pass (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL) which includes exclusive tools for Betting, Props, DFS and more! CLAIM IT NOW

FantasyScore does not do this. They really, truly match your deposit, instantly. When you make your first deposit, you immediately get half of that amount, and you can immediately use it to play. No waiting, no earning it slowly, no gimmicks – just a really good offer, that no other DFS service is matching.

NBA DFS Picks for December 2nd, 2014

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as a couple of sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for December 2nd, 2014.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

Russell Westbrook (OKC, G) - $7,300

It only took Westbrook 24 minutes in his return to action this past Friday to put up a ridiculous 32 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, quickly showing the league that he was back and that his wrist injury was nothing to worry about any longer.

The best part for daily players is that Westbrook's price remains extremely depressed due to the injury, which means he is a virtual must own Tuesday night.

Jrue Holiday will certainly put up a better defensive showing than the Knicks did on Friday, but for this price, it is more than a gamble to not have Westbrook in all lineups. Assuming he gets back into the 40-minute range, he should again top 50 fantasy points.

Pau Gasol (CHI, F) - $6,700

Gasol has certainly gotten comfortable with his new team. After missing some time a couple of weeks back, he has returned to post three straight double-doubles while sprinkling in a few steals, assists and blocks. As is the case with many of the Bulls regulars, Gasol continues to rack up huge minute totals with a 35-minute per game average since returning from his three game absence.

Chicago takes on Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks on Tuesday night, who are first in the league in scoring at 109.1 points per game. However, Dallas is just 19th in the NBA, allowing 100.1 points per night.

This game should easily push to over 200 total points, and with Nowitzki’s defensive ability in sharp decline, Gasol should have his way in the paint.

Andre Drummond (DET, C) - $5,800

Drummond has all of the elements that make for a great daily fantasy play. It starts with the fact that his last game out, the 21-year-old big man posted a miserable two-point, seven-rebound effort against Golden State, which will likley scare some DFS players away. However, the poor performance should not be a surprise, as the Warriors' frontcourt duo of Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut are very good defensively.

Drummond posted four straight double-doubles prior to the matchup with Golden State. That stretch included a monster 26-point, 20-rebound game against Milwaukee. Along with pulling down 10 or more boards in 12 of Detroit’s last 14 games, Drummond continues to block shots at a strong clip (1.6 BPG).

The Pistons face off against a putrid Lakers front line on Tuesday night, leaving Drummond with the potential to put together yet another 20/20 game.

Best Value Plays

Greivis Vasquez (TOR, G) - $2,200

The Raptors have big shoes to fill with the loss of Demar DeRozan to injury, and so far it appears that Vazquez will get the first shot at an uptick in minutes. The fifth-year guard has seen his minutes go from about 18 per game to just short of 30 per game during the last two contests.

Over the team’s last three games, the Vasquez has put up 54 points, 14 assists, five rebounds and two steals. While these numbers are not eye popping, he is incredibly consistent and comes with a low price tag. Vasquez should be well worth the play against the Kings' Ben McLemore who is still learning how to play defense on the NBA level.

Devin Harris (DAL, G) - $3,400

Like Vasquez, Harris is going to get a short-term fantasy bump due to an injury to starting point guard Jameer Nelson. Despite Harris' backup status, he has had a solid fantasy this season and been particularly good of late.

With three straight games over 22 fantasy points, Harris is an all-around contributor who has produced at least eight points, four assists, one steal and a block in each of the last three games for Dallas.

The Bulls are certainly a solid defensive team, but if Derrick Rose can play, that should be an advantage for Harris. Rose's defensive abilities pale in comparison to those of teammate Kirk Hinrich.
