NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers: FanDuel Advice for 11/3

By 2O (Own work) [CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsAll throughout the 2014-15 season, RotoBaller will be giving you the top DFS plays at guard, forward and center as well as a couple of value picks.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off.

Top DFS Picks (Worth the Investment)

James Harden (HOU, SG) - $10,000

If you have played any DFS basketball at all this season then you know to place a ton of emphasis on players facing the 76ers. With that in mind, Harden, even as the highest priced player on the board, is likely to be very highly owned tonight.

Harden has had a great start to the season, averaging over 44 fantasy points per night on FanDuel's format. The thing that makes the Rockets' All-Star guard such an attractive option is that he has an extremely high floor. An under-par game for Harden can often still see him put up 20 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Derrick Favors (UTA, PF) - $7,400

With other power forwards such as Blake GriffinAnthony Davis and Serge Ibaka on the board, it is hard to say that there are not better options on the board. However, dollar-for-dollar, Favors is the pick for tonight.

Favors has thrived in Coach Quin Snyder’s offense so far in the early going of 2014-15, including a 32-point effort his last time out. Along with his new found scoring, the 23-year-old big man continues to contribute in all areas with 27 rebounds, six blocks and six steals over the first three games of the season.

This evening, Favors and the Jazz will be taking on a Clippers team whose interior defense was recently exposed by the Kings' DeMarcus Cousins. Take advantage of this price while you can, as Favors appears like he may finally fulfill the expectations many have had for him the past couple of years.

DeMarcus Cousins (SAC, C) - $9,600

Speaking of Cousins, Boogie showed yesterday why he is considered potentially the best fantasy center in the game, as he absolutely torched the Clippers to the tune of 34 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks.

Cousins is a virtual lock for 20 points and 10 rebounds a night, but where he really stands out is his unique passing ability. Last season, he averaged over three assists per game and could certainly increase that number.

Tonight Cousins takes on a Nuggets team that is weak defensively in the post, as Kenneth Faried does not have the size and Timofey Mozgov lacks the speed to slow down the Kings' center. Like Harden, he will not come cheap, but Cousins' high floor makes him a safe play in both cash games and GPPs.

Best DFS Values (Sleepers)

Isaiah Canaan (HOU, PG) - $3,600

As we mentioned above with Harden, make sure to roster some Rockets tonight. With Patrick Beverly injured, Canaan took over at the point guard last time out and is expected to stay there tonight. He struggled from the floor during his first game in the starting lineup, going just 3-for-11, but was given the full work load with 35 minutes.

Even in a poor outing, Canaan managed to put up 18.8 fantasy points. With a great match-up tonight, he could be in play to get 10 times his value. Consider Canaan a must-own if he does indeed start for Houston.

Perry Jones III (OKC, SF) - $6,800

Unless you have been completely locked into football for the last few days, you know that the Thunder are now without Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. After losing Westbrook early in their game against the Clippers, Jones took over on the offensive end, scoring 32 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists. He followed that up with a nice line of 23 points, four rebounds and two assists on Saturday.

Coach Scott Brooks has already stated that Jones will be one of the focal points of the offense in the short term and will even run the point on occasion. His value has started to climb, but it is certainly not high enough. Due to his price and recent hot streak, expect Jones' ownership rate to be nearly as high as the Rockets' players on this list.
