NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers: FanDuel Advice for 11/19

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as a couple of sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for November 17th, 2014.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editors Note: If you have not tried out FanDuel 1-day fantasy basketball leagues, RotoBaller offers the best bonuses around. Signup and make a deposit for a new FanDuel account, and receive a 100% bonus on your deposit up to $200.

Top DFS Picks (Worth the Investment)

John Wall (WAS, PG) - $9,100

By Keith Allison (John Wall Josh Smith.jpg) [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsWall has been all over the board in the last six games. Over that span, he has two games scoring in the 20’s for fantasy points, two in the 30’s and two in the 50’s. The common theme in the 50-point efforts is that they both came at home while he has struggled a bit on the road.

Tonight, the Wizards take on a Mavericks team that has Jameer Nelson at the point, who is one of the worst defenders in the league. Look for another 50+ fantasy points from Wall at home tonight.

Carmelo Anthony (NYK, PF) - $8,900

Despite being a bit nicked up going into Tuesday night's game, Anthony stayed hot with 26 points, six rebounds and five assists, which was good for 39.7 fantasy points.

Anthony has scored over 37 fantasy points in five straight outings and goes up against an extremely short handed Timberwolves team Wednesday night. Assuming he is good to go, Melo should be considered the safest forward on the board.

Gorgui Dieng (MIN, C) - $4,900

Even with players like Dwight Howard, Nikola Vucevic, Al Jefferson and Marc Gasol on the board, I am likely to be rolling with Dieng on every team tonight. The second-year pro will get the starting nod, as Nikola Pekovic is dealing with a wrist injury.

Last year as a rookie, Dieng started 15 games for Minnestoa. In those starts, he posted averages of 12.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.0 steal.

With the Timberwolves having almost no center depth, Dieng should easily see over 30 minutes against a weak Knicks' interior that is playing their second consecutive road game Wednesday night.

Best DFS Values (Sleepers)

Nick Young (SG, LAL) - $5,100

“Swaggy P” showed very little rust in his return to the lineup Tuesday night, as he scored 17 points and pulled down five rebounds in 28 minutes. With a team struggling to get wins, Coach Byron Scott appears to have a ton of confidence in the erratic shooting guard and it paid off as the Lakers won just their second game of the season.

Outside of Kobe Bryant, Young is the best scorer on the team and should be safe to roll out in all games at this low of a price.

Corey Brewer (SF, MIN) - $4,500

As mentioned above, the Timberwolves are a hurting team tonight with Thaddeus Young, Pekovic and Ricky Rubio all slated to be out. That should result in players such as Brewer and Andrew Wiggins playing extended minutes.

Brewer has actually been fairly consistent of late with over 23 fantasy points in four of his last five games. He is another player who will be forced into minutes, so for a cheap price, Brewer should be a solid play in a game that should see plenty of scoring.
