NBA DFS FanDuel Advice & Sleepers – Lineup Picks for 3/23/15

All throughout the 2014-15 NBA campaign, RotoBaller will be analyzing the top NBA DFS lineup picks and providing our expert advice for the best sleepers at the guard, forward and center positions. Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for March 23rd, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editors Note: If you have not tried out FanDuel 1-day fantasy basketball leagues, RotoBaller offers the best bonuses around. Signup and make a deposit for a new FanDuel account, and receive a 100% bonus on your deposit up to $200.

Worth the FanDuel Investment

James Harden (HOU, G) - $11,000

The expensive star players seem especially questionable and risky on Monday night. For that reason, I will be building my lineup around a guy who rarely ever has two quiet games in a row. Harden only had 16 points and five assists on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns. Although that may be a decent game for some guards, $11,000 has to get you much more than that. Simply because he’s always so reliable, I’m banking on Harden to have a huge bounce-back game on Monday night.

Brook Lopez (BKN, C) - $7,600

Someone gave Lopez a bottle of Michael’s Secret Stuff last week (yes, that was a Space Jam reference). The big man went off in four games, ranging his totals from 28.4 to 65.6 FDP. It’s his lucky day on Monday, because he gets the NBA’s punching bag in the Boston Celtics front court. At a very reasonable price, Lopez will find himself in a lot of lineups Monday night, and with good reason.

Safer DFS Bargains

These NBA players are on the cheaper side, but you can expect some solid DFS production from them with the potential for star-like numbers.

Kemba Walker (CHA, G) - $6,900

Kemba is back! Well at least I hope he is back. His minutes increased last week leading up to a 31-minute outing on Friday. He solidified his role Sunday with a 34-minute outing, putting up 43.6 FDP in the process. Mo Williams will still get minutes, keeping Walker’s time somewhat capped, but I’m very encouraged by the point guard’s resurgence. With the Chicago Bulls on the schedule on Monday, Walker is in line to put up some good numbers while thundering his way back towards fantasy relevance. Get him while he’s cheap!

Evan Turner (BOS, G) - $5,800

Turner has been slowly working his way back to being the Boston Celtics’ leading scorer. Although Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart will be in the lineup taking away shots, it seems that Isaiah Thomas will still be sidelined with an injury. Turner took advantage of his opportunity to run the offense on Sunday and put up 46.2 FDP. In a scrappy game against the Brooklyn Nets, Turner should have a floor of 20 FDP with the potential to drop another 40-FDP game.

High Risk, High Reward

These inexpensive DFS picks are more trained for the tournament players. If you need to stand out from a crowd, these guys have the potential to hit 30 FDP. On the other hand, don’t be surprised if they come up well short of that mark.

Langston Galloway (NY, G) - $5,200

Alexey Shved missed the second half of the New York Knicks game on Sunday after suffering a rib contusion. If he misses the game Monday, I’m even more in love with Galloway. However, even if Shved is in the lineup, Galloway has been coming alive lately. Sure, he still has his dud games where he gives you less than 10 FDP for no apparent reason, but he has exceeded 30 FDP twice in the last four games. Galloway could be a nice play for those looking for cheap, low-usage options Monday night.

Luis Scola (IND, F) - $4,800

Scola’s minutes and FanDuel production have been fluctuating a lot lately. He’s seen both a 16-minute game and a 34-minute game in his past six contests. However, he has been able to reach 22 FDP in each of his last three games. Against a Houston Rockets team that has proven to be beaten with big men, and at a price that’s very low, Scola might be worth a flier on Monday night.

Avoid At All Costs

If it were up to me, these players would have a 0% usage.

Nikola Mirotic (CHI, F) - $7,400

Well, it happened. We’ve all been waiting to see if Taj Gibson’s return would ruin Mirotic’s value, and it did on Saturday. He played just 24 minutes and scored eight points. Mirotic still has the ability to produce, even with limited minutes, but his price has greatly inflated over the past month. With the Bulls matching up against a solid Charlotte Hornets defense, I’m staying far away on Monday night.
