Worth the FanDuel Investment

Kyrie Irving (CLE, PG) - $8,600

Do it. Go for it on Sunday. Trust Kyrie Irving to put up another huge performance like he did in his season high 57 point performance against the Spurs. He may not be able to replicate his crazy night, but there is good reason to select Kyrie Irving aside from his potential. Kyrie Irving is simply a much cheaper investment than Russell (Mr. Triple Double) Westbrook is. Westbrook’s salary has grown to astonishing levels. The price of Kyrie Irving and Tony Parker together is just a bit more than Westbrook alone. Hope for a good performance from Kyrie Irving and don’t cripple the rest of your roster for the sake of rostering one guy. Kyrie Irving’s huge tonight against the Spurs wasn’t based on shot volume but rather just a ridiculous hot hand and the inability of any defender to bother him at all. Irving has been really picking it up since a slow early March and since returning from a two game absence.

Honorable Mention: Tony Parker (SA, PG)

Nikola Mirotic (CHI, PF) - $6,500

On Fanduel, you always have to look for the bargains throughout the five positions. Nikola Mirotic provides plenty of value on Sunday, as his average salary requirement is very cheap for the stats that he has been putting up. Mirotic provides numbers across the board, and is filling in a vital scoring need for the Bulls after the depletion of their front court as well as Aaron Brook’s underwhelming performance since being called upon to play in the starting lineup. Mirotic may not be a starter but he is playing starter minutes and putting up star numbers. In his last eight games, Mirotic has averaged 19.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. He has also been averaging 32.9 minutes per game. The bearded rookie is helping the Bulls keep their playoff seeding afloat during this difficult time in their season, and will continue to do so on Sunday against the Thunder.

Honorable Mention: Kawhi Leonard (SA, SF)

DeAndre Jordan (LAC, C) - $9,400

It is slim pickings at Center on Sunday, so you can try to decide between Nikola Vucevic and Jordan if you are looking for a top-tier center. Jordan should continue to edge out Vucevic in terms of overall production as long as Blake Griffin is not back in the Clippers lineup. Jordan’s numbers have been incredible without Griffin in the lineup, and his numbers could be even better if his blocks hadn’t mysteriously dropped off in the past few games. Jordan should still definitely be rostered and be expected to contribute plentifully in the blocks category to make him a top fantasy producer. In his last three games, Jordan has averaged 18.0 points and 17.3 rebounds. Expect Jordan to pick up some blocks on Sunday, as he will look to shut down the interior game of the Houston Rockets and grab plenty of rebounds as well.

Honorable Mention: Nikola Vucevic (ORL, C)

Sleeper DFS Picks

Gorgui Dieng (MIN, C) - $6,200

Gorgui Dieng was a popular sleeper before the season as a potentially great fantasy player as long as Nikola Pekovic isn’t eating into his minutes. Dieng displayed an ability to produce across the board stats when given the playing time and the space to operate in the paint without the presence of Pekovic. Pekovic had missed Friday’s game with another ankle injury. Dieng took total advantage of this. Dieng played 42 minutes against the Thunder, and put up 21 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks against a good defensive team. Expect Dieng to put up another good game against the Spurs on Sunday.

Honorable Mention: Alexey Shved (NYK, PG)
