NBA DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/15/24)

Jayson Tatum - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball, NBA Injury News

Today's top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel on January 15, 2024. Mike Barner's NBA DFS sleeper picks for building winning DFS lineups.

The NBA brings 11 games to the table for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. With games spread throughout the day and evening, it makes things a bit tricky for DFS. The main evening slates for DraftKings and FanDuel will consist of just five games.

With there only being five games for the main evening slate, there aren’t a ton of injuries to note. The Heat are probably the most important team to monitor. Jaime Jaquez Jr. hurt his groin Sunday against the Hornets and will not play Monday. Jimmy Butler (toe) is traveling with the team to face the Nets, but his status for the game is yet to be determined.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/15/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. ET. Good luck, RotoBallers!

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jordan Clarkson, UTA vs. IND – PG/SG ($6,700 DK; $7,300 FD)

The Jazz are healthy and making a push for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. Since returning from a six-game absence with an injury, Clarkson has averaged 19.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.8 assists over the last 12 games. His overall scoring numbers are down a bit this season, but he has helped offset that by averaging a career-high 5.3 assists per game. Expect him to remain busy in this matchup between two teams that rank inside the top 10 in the league in pace of play.

Collin Sexton, UTA vs. IND – PG/SG ($6,400 DK; $6,700 FD)

Not only do the Jazz and Pacers like to push the pace, but they also rank inside the bottom 11 in the league in defensive rating. This should be a high-scoring affair in which targeting players on both sides is appealing, Another member of the Jazz to pursue is Sexton, who has averaged 20.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists over his last 11 games.

Duncan Robinson, MIA at BKN – SG/SF ($5,800 DK; $5,400 FD)

This being the second game of a back-to-back set makes things tricky for the Heat. We already know that Jaquez will be out. Butler could also miss his eighth straight game. Then there’s also the possibility that they rest a veteran like Kyle Lowry. All of this could mean a lot of playing time for Robinson, who is averaging 14.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 3.0 three-pointers over 29 minutes per game.

ALSO CONSIDER: Tyler Herro, MIA at BKN – PG/SG ($8,200 DK; $8,000 FD), T.J. McConnell, IND at UTA – PG ($7,000 DK; $6,800 FD)

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum, BOS at TOR – SF/PF ($9,700 DK; $10,000 FD)

The Raptors have been awful on the defensive end lately. They traded away their best overall defender in OG Anunoby and they lost Jakob Poeltl to an ankle injury. Over the last three games without them, they gave up an average of 134.3 points. Enter Tatum, who is on pace to average at least 26 points, seven rebounds, and four assists for the fourth straight season.

Lauri Markkanen, UTA vs. IND – SF/PF ($8,400 DK; $8,900 FD)

Markkanen is proving that his 2022-23 breakout campaign was not a fluke. After shooting 49.9 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from behind the arc that season, he is shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from deep this season. That has enabled him to average 23.7 points per game to go along with his 8.8 rebounds per game. With the fast pace at which this game should be played, Markkanen has a great opportunity to thrive again.

Bruce Brown, IND at UTA – SF/SG ($5,900 DK; $5,800 FD)

Facing his former team in the Nuggets on Sunday, Brown produced 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and three steals over 33 minutes. Since Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) went down, Brown has averaged 15.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists over three games. He might be too good to pass up at his reasonable salary on both sites.

ALSO CONSIDER: John Collins, UTA vs. IND – PF/C ($6,000 DK; $6,300 FD), Caleb Martin, MIA at BKN – SF/PF ($5,600 DK; $5,400 FD)

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Davis, LAL vs. OKC– C/PF ($10,500 DK; $11,200 FD)

For as stellar as the Thunder have been this season, they still don’t have a ton of size. That makes trying to slow down Davis particularly troublesome. The first time he faced the Thunder this season, he produced 31 points, 14 rebounds, and two steals. The second time, he finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks.

Nikola Vucevic, CHI at CLE– C ($7,500 DK; $8,300 FD)

After coming off the bench when he initially returned from injury, Vucevic is back in the starting five for the Bulls. Over the last three games as a starter, he has averaged 18.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. Despite his struggles from behind the arc this season, Vucevic is a walking double-double who is also a good source of assists for a center.

Obi Toppin, IND at UTA – C/PF ($5,000 DK; $5,300 FD)

After beginning the season as a member of the starting five, Toppin has moved to the second unit for the Pacers. That wouldn’t seem to be ideal, but he has logged 24 minutes a game in that role, which is the same amount of time that he was averaging as a starter. That has helped him average 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over 11 games off the bench.

ALSO CONSIDER: Bam Adebayo, MIA at BKN – C ($9,100 DK; $9,200 FD), Jarrett Allen, CLE vs. CHI - C ($8,500 DK; $8,800 FD)
